Cmon man I meant in the circle of the coaching profession. You’re creating a straw man to deflect from what he did. But if you wanna go there Orgeron is a wife beater too so I guess you’re supporting that and he’s still a great guy?

Lol can you believe they’re making a sequel? I hope they don’t screw this up like they do everything else.

I think that he'll have to go 8 and 5 two years in a row to get fired. I also don't think that there's a chance in hell due to the way he's recruiting that it would ever happen. I believe that everything is set up for an exceptional season

Even if Lunitik claims he was "just looking for info", he's smart enough to know this would turn into yet another opportunity for the O-Bashers to attack Orgeron.

This is a hit-piece Loony. Own it!

100% not true. I was driving when I heard this comment on the radio and I was absolutely floored. To my recollection only the shifts were asked to be removed from the offense. If this other stuff was/is common knowledge, I simply just forgot about it. Taking away 3 key aspects of an offense can be a pretty big deal. IMO it's relevant to this season with a new, young hot shot guy running new stuff. Personally I think O learned a great deal from the Canada situation and since we know he handpicked Brady, there shouldn't be any issues.

Sometimes I do like to stir the pot as much as anyone else does, but I was honestly looking for real insight here because like I said this is the first I can recall anyone saying Orgeron asked to change the offense THAT much.

Look at his offense from just a season prior at Pitt compared to LSUs offense when he got here. They’re nothing alike and it’s sad because I remember how excited he was with the talent he had to work with. Even though it was a down year talent wise on the perimeter for us it was still far more than he had before. It’s amazing that he put up the numbers he did with the restrictions and limitations he was shackled with but it was still fun to watch a truly talented OC call games and make drive to drive adjustments. It’s something we never get to see here at LSU so at least for a little while we got to see a real top OC operate.

Look at this offense in 2019, LSU is ready to shock the world. Joe Burrow is not only smart, he’s brutally honest when asked a direct question about LSU’s offense, whether it’s the Oline or his own play. He’s absolutely giddy about 2019 and LSU’s new offense, he’s being honest.

That's all well and good, but his accuracy has to improve. Especially if we intend to go to a "quick passing game" like so many people are swearing LSU will do.

60ish% completion percentage isn't going to cut it. Will need to be closer to 70%. Anything less than that and said offense is mostly useless.

I'm not suggesting that the offense is gonna be bad, but not one down of football has been played during the 2019 season yet.

Joe rushed for almost 500 yards. I want him healthy for sure but his running was a weapon. He also got better about avoiding big hits after Auburn.

jb21lsu questions the lie that Orgeron:

Stabbed his boss in the back

That's a serious accusation - birdman MUST have a link to that... please show the link

Yeah. I never have bought into the idea that Orgeron went behind Miles' back to get him fired. I would have to see documented proof of that to believe it.

Canada has been gone over a year. Who gives a shite? Why is Hannigrif stirring up shite after all this time?

Orgeron is the head coach. It's his program. The only thing that matters now is how Ensminger calls plays in an updated offense using new concepts.

I am so glad I don't bother to listen to the talking heads in Baton Rouge. Most talking heads don't their arse from a hole in the ground.

It was relevant to the conversation they were having and it's the same one that people have been having on here for years.

Hanny said that Gordy used to come from practice and tell him about all of these new wrinkles they were working on in practice then we would never see it in a game. Hanny then brought up the points from the OP about Canada and Orgeron. Basically, Hanny was giving multiple reasons why he's a "wait and see guy." I'm paraphrasing, but he says he believes some changes are coming but he wants to wait to see how productive it is on the field in September and October before completely buying into this new offense. This is not an unreasonable stance IMO.

Hannigrif loves LSU and he does know his arse from a hole. He was just saying pump the brakes because we’ve heard this before. Sorry if O made a bad hire but he did control Canada. He’s not stirring shite he’s using recent history to make a relevant point. Don’t be so sensitive

It's explained why it's relevant to this season and as long as people can have a somewhat civil conversation about it think it's a good discussion about the upcoming season. That's assuming what Hanny said is accurate which is what I was really wondering about.

Initially, I posted it in an existing football thread, but it was on page 2 and no one responded so I just deleted it.

I agree. When you make a serious accusation like that you should have to provide some kind of documentation to back that up.
