So we agree Eaux isn't the answer

Why get Burrow then?? You should be able to win 7 games with QB's they already had. I wasn't keen on this Burrow thing from the beginning, and now it may cost them a QB with really awesome potential.

You really can't go by a funky looking lil spring scrimmage game where a lot of stuff was limited. But some of these guys should have been getting major minutes last season like a McMillan to get ready for next season with Etling leaving. Etling got most of the damn PT even in games that were a lost cause when McMillan or whoever should have been in there getting valuable minutes. But these clowns put a skinny kid like Brennan in there in some instances last season when he was clearly in over his head especially against Alabama. LOL

Well you should care who the coach is. If you want a coach who wins, you should expect your AD to actually hire a guy with a proven record or at least is a highly-regarded tactician. O is neither of those.

Alleva is not stupid but he is a liar. There is no way a competent AD would hire O with any reasonable expectation that he could maintain a championship-caliber program, you know, like LSU was not too long ago. Alleva cheaped out and decided it was a better business decision to coast through mediocrity as long as Saban was at Alabama. He hired O because he viewed him as a colorful, local personality that would endear himself to a certain ignorant and/or corrupt segment of the fan base. He could force an underperforming, out-of-his-league coach on the fan base and slowly ride the brand excellence into the ground. He gets to stretch that out for a few years then leave with a seven-figure golden parachute. He and O then laugh at the rest of us while we get to relive the early nineties for five to ten years.

So, you should care who is coaching the team. It is not reasonable to expect a coach in his late fifties who (1) has never won other than as a position coach and (2) literally no decent team was considering as a coach, to take you to a championship. It is much more reasonable to assume this team will be lucky to win 7 games this year. I hope that is not the case, but all we literally have is a hope that Aranda's defense will be so dominant and we'll somehow have elite QB play this year to win games that we are not favored now to win.

And no, it's not a good thing that the experts are picking us to win 6 or 7 games this year. We aren't "sleeping" on anyone. We are a program in decline. That decline is happening because of O and Alleva.

So true TL...people are freaking losing their minds over rumors.

Even if it plays out....it will clear up the QB situation completely.

Gaining weight will NOT have any impact on Brennan's actual ability at QB. It's not like he's ready to start but the coaches are holding him back because of weight.

Jeez, I've never seen such an obession (and a misplaced one, at that).

How did this become a rebuild? If we knew it was a rebuild then, why would anyone consider O to be the guy to rebuild a program?

Why would anyone NOT consider Orgeron for rebuilding a program. He has flat out killed it in overhauling this roster processing the dead weight with contributors.

Well, considering he was handed a team that was preseason top 5 and a team that was in the top 5 in the previous season that would have won ten games if not for a cancelled game, it wasn't a rebuild to begin with. Miles' last 4 losses vs OM, Arky, Wisconsin and Auburn weren't talent related. It was never a rebuild.

Yeah in today’s SEC that is the ceiling for just about everyone not named Bama

So yeah 9 wins is the ceiling with this program right now- 10 if you win a bowl

frick all this. Georgia is going toe to toe with Alabama right now, on and off the field.

So you like our chances with the third string QB?

It’s like everyone is waiting/looking for a reason to bitch. Go make your workplaces awesome then show up on saturday and cheer for your team. Very few on this board have lives that are really enhanced by the success of a football team. (There are a few though)
