Guilbeau comments on Gus Kattengell show last night (NOLA ESPN affiliate)..

I know the rant loves them some Guilbeau so here's a summary of his comments:
* Said practices/scrimmages have been closed but friends of the program are allowed in and he gets scoop
* Fournette is basically unstoppable, our first team D cant contain him.
* Other than LF taking what he wants, the D looks to be very strong. Compared them just shy of the 2011 D but in that realm.
* Neither QB has looked very good at all. The stats and updates Les gives at the press conferences have no basis in fact.
* Discussing the O-Line he said Porter is the starter at center. Did not mention Pocic's name at all. (I know Pocic was discussed this week here)
* Thinks the starting WR's are Dural, Diarse, and Dupre. Mentioned Quinn as competing for 5th WR.
* Lots of props for Jamal Adams, appears to be the real deal and will be an impact player as a true frosh.
* Doesn't see Valentine even playing this year, probably redshirt. Mentioned all the DT's by name discussing depth but didn't have much to say about that group other than "let's see what happens"
* Was not overly complimentary of Cam Cameron. Said Mett was 5th year senior when CC got him so he was advanced already. Mentioned Randle El as the only real young raw QB that CC brought along and Harris/Jennings have nowhere near the talent that Randle El had.

I love how two people always have total diff things to reprt.
Cam is great
Cam sucks

I think the QBs will be inconsistent his year which will hold this team back from being great. Excited to see what this D can do, so many great athletes all over the field

I hope one or both QB's develop quickly. Likely to be the only barrier to a playoff run if they don't.

Listening to anything GG has to say is like channel flipping and coming across those annoying Disney channel teenage sitcoms. You know it's horrible, but you'll occasionally linger just to confirm.

Randle El was a great QB, but from a pure QB standpoint, Harris and Jennings both have equal or better abilities and better raw talent.
We will struggle a bit, young QBs do, but to say they don't have the talent or near the talent of Randle El is silly.

Disagree that's Mett was polished already before Cam got there. Everyone saw that he had tools, but he was far off everywhere else. What Cam did with Zach was nothing short of outstanding, compared to his first season. Cam improved his pocket presence, footwork which helped his accuracy, his film study and preparation, etc. It was clear that coaching was the difference, and those techniques are setting Zach up for success in the pro's now.
