Thanks .. it looks like if i’m coming from the north on the Red line, i’ll need to switch to the Blue or Green line then get off at the stadium... my question is this: Having never taken MARTA before, would it be more efficient (or easier/quicker) to just stay on the Red line and get off at the Garnet or West End stop? And same after the game? Thanks!

Was looking for a solid thread like this from a local! Thanks a bunch. I’m going to be worthless at work the next three days. Haha

How is the Marta after a game? Is it jam packed or does not everyone really use it? Would someone have an issue getting to the airport within 40 minutes?

I would recommend Vine City stop or walking to center of downtown and getting an uber. Marta is great for visitors but as a local atlantan, i never take it.

Edit: Just saw your airport comment. Marta is probably the way to go. If you want to grab an uber it will be more stressful.

getting on trains after a game is very hard and time-consuming.

Daytime you are fine walking but you should really stay on the lines where police presence is concentrated for big events. Think of it like New Orleans during MG. You are extremely safe on b st. Walk a block or two off, where there aren't cops, not good.

Try getting on streets out of a parking deck. It's even harder.

Gotcha.. again being an Atlanta /MARTA rookie, the Garnet and West End stops on the Red line look super close to the stadium itself.. are those two stops in particular dangerous? And if so, then is it a hassle to go from the Red line to the Blue or Green line, so that we can then get off at the stadium itself? Hope it makes sense what i’m asking.

Do you have direct experience with this at the MBS? I can see it being crowded but not bogged down. How much of a wait are you talking about to hop on after the game?

The marta maps are not to scale. Google map the stops and see if you wanna walk.
