I think he’s legitimately undecided on what he wants to do.
I won’t fault him for leaving, I get it. But dammit if he came back, holy hell.

Also, people acting like there's no value in coming back for a first round pick are incorrect. The range in value for a first round contract from pick 1 to pick 32 is just north of $20 million. The difference between pick 10 and pick 20 is about $7 million.
eta. Even more important, the difference in value between Fournette's and McCaffrey's respective contracts is $10 million, with Fournette also receiving $7 million more in signing bonus. Only 4 picks separated the two as the #1 and #2 RB's selected.
An argument could be made that Guice could improve about 10 picks if he came back, a reward that could outweigh the risk of having an injury setback that would have him fall further than where he currently is, where said hypothetical fall due to injury could be insured.

How? Faulk had a kid and came from nothing, came back and had an amazing NFL career.
that was a different time in the NFL. their was a lot of money to be gained by moving up in the first round.
now, with slotted salaries, there isn't nearly as much difference.

Guice could be the first running back taken this year. I don't think him deciding to come back would have anything to do with improving his draft stock.

He almost certainly won't be.

Look I get it, I know the contracts were different and the money based on rounds, but nothing compares to having kids while in college, coming from nothing and passing up the 1st Rd in the NFL draft as financial security, no matter the amount.
My point was people do it and it’s not always the worst decision. In Faulk’s case it worked out for the best.
Let’s hope whatever happens it works out for Guice. That’s all.

Any inside sauces on Clapp, KT, and Donte?

You’ll know in a 11 days
I’m sure they’ll be rumors flying around as it gets closer.

KT, and Donte?
neither of these guys are even remotely ready for the NFL. they have great measurables though, will go to the combine and kill it. KT looked like he gave up on the season just like Key. Quite frankly I don't want him back.

OL should always come back unless they play LT. Stock can only go up.

i would take him again over any running back including LF7.
The statue argument is also bad. Faulk needed to return. Just about no way Faulk would have gone in top 3 rounds, much less the 2nd round. He was not the NFL prospect that Guice is. Faulk was very fortunate in who drafted him.

He will be declaring for the draft as soon as he is done with his skiing trip

I think I saw he was a top ten. If true he should go ahead and take care of his business. Is he close to graduation?

Yea it killed Kevin faulk

Guice staying at LSU would be the equivalent of an intern choosing to voluntarily stay in his position for another year instead of taking a 7 figure job offered to him this year.

Anyone else as sick of this narrative as I am?
Frick off, you people that go along with this line of thinking act as if though you're in line to get a handout.

I was around for him and Dalton Hilliard, and Collins. With the possible exception of Collins (I don't think we really know, TBH) Fournette is considerable better, in terms of running back talent. That doesn't diminish those guys.
Faulk is much smarter than people give him credit for, He actually got his degree before finishing his 4 years at LSU. My son and I had the privilege of meeting him at the Div 4 football playoff game and shake his hand. He is a nice guy and still reps the purple and gold as does Trev Faulk. Both great guys.

Most places I've seen have him as a second round pick now. I think it's more a function of needs and the reduced value placed on running backs.

We did stop recruiting Joiner???
Yes because of the kicker counting. They want Surtain, Chase, Joseph and Goodrich instead. Had the kicker not counted Joiner would have been the 5th.
