Bingo. With no DL, having to play UGA, UF and Bama....Miles will have another "good go" but his game day coaching and lack of team discipline will end in disappointment. We will start out ranked about 8 and finish 10-2 and 9-3 wil another peach bowl, but the positiger arse clowns will be saying "you can't expect to win the BCS every year !!!" Tell that to Bama and their fans. Enjoy mediocrity and watch Bama win more MNCs with a disciplined, organized, machine. Question: each coach selects who to take on scholly....each coach develops his players...and each coach game plans and coaches on game day. Chip Kelly, Urban, Muschamp, Brian Kelly, Saban...what do they have in common? Discipline.

The preseason rankings are also based on schedule. LSU has a brutal one in 2013. With Bama's, we'd be top 3, with the one we have I'm guessing 6.

Very true. But to the voters, we will fail the eyeball test on game day when we start playing. Playing inconsistently or up/down to our opponents is a Les Miles trade mark. Unfortunately that will hurt us in the rankings...

I'd love it to be higher, but lets face it - the offense has too much Les and the D went downhill in the later part of the season this year. MSU,

I think realistically we probably end up about #4 in the preseason polls
We will control our own destiny with a pretty tough SEC slate next year that includes UGA and UF from the east.
I would consider a 1 loss season with that schedule probably good enough to get us a top 3 spot in the BCS, particularly if the loss isn't to Bama.
