Talk about your dramatic response. Are you creating fake posts in your head to get outraged over?

Lol what? When you have to resort to this kind of nonsense you're obviously just arguing for the sake of arguing.

I get the family aspect of it, but I still wish Greedy was taking the field with his teammates. It would be highly unfortunate, but football is a violent sport and injuries happen. He could have suffered one lifting weights last summer, conditioning, spring practice, in actual games. Hell he could plant wrong at the combine and tear his ACL.

Injuries aren't any more or less likely depending on when you're putting yourself at risk. It's always there, and wasn't an issue until now.

Is Greedy going to sit out of the combine or pro days out of fear of an injury?

I'm with you. It's a bummer he's not playing, especially with the depth issues, but it is what it is. Nobody has a right to be mad at him.

These are necessary risks to cement his draft position. The Fiesta Bowl is an unnecessary risk.

He was recruiting to LSU to start as a freshmen and to be a 1st round draft pick. He was told he would be here for 3 years and be prepared by his coaches. Blame the sales pitch, not the buyer.

It didn't seem like an issue until now because LSU is no longer in contention for a championship. He was recruited to LSU to be a 3 year player and that's what hes done

Their odds went from not likely, to not a chance after they lost to A&M. Are you retarded or something?

"Right" is a matter of personal interpretation. If he thinks it's right for him, I'm all for it and wish him nothing but success.

No but you CLEARLY are if you think the committee was ever even remotely considering LSU with two losses.

Jesus where do you people come from?

Jesus I never said anyone used those words. There are plenty of posters talking about him having a "career ending injury." Like what? Jaylon Smith didn't have his career ended. It's a little hyperbole.

He is. But, it's easy to see why he made the decision he did. Logically, his decision makes sense. In fact, it makes so much sense that most accept it.

Joseph really let the program down as well. His decision was at least as selfish and when you consider what the payof was (whatever value you get out of breaking a team rule), it should be considered much worse than Greedy.

LSU is in real trouble defensively in this game. Either we win a high scoring game, or we get beat, IMO.

LSU has been out of contention since the first weekend of November when Bama kicked our arse. If it wasn't a concern then, I don't see why it is now. If he's worried about his future health he should have bowed out early like Bosa did at Ohio State.

It's all semantics but I don't agree with you here. Nobody is going to pass on Greedy because he didn't run the 40 at the NFL combine or they couldn't see him in a back pedal in shorts.

I'd even argue there's less reason for him to participate there then there is for him to play in the Fiesta Bowl.

Estimate the premium for a policy like that.

Must be written that he will collect every dime of the policy if he is injured in any way.

You won’t find many insurance companies that will write a policy that they canny fight like this. That’s what insurance companies do. They find loopholes so they don’t have to pay. Basically insurance is no different than a card counter going into a casino and winning big except the casino will kick you out if they think you are counting cards. Insurance companies play with a stacked deck and nobody is there to keep them in check.

I said contention. There were positive odds for LSU to make it before the A&M game.

LSU was ranked 7th, and would have likely been ranked ahead of Michigan going into conference championship week. That puts them at 6th. Georgia losing puts them at 5

Georgia was in serious contention for a playoff spot with 2 losses. A 2 loss Georgia that LSU beat. Are you fricking brain dead?

So a 2 loss Georgia vs a 2 loss LSU (if they beat A&M) is your scenario here. Georgia was clearly in contention and had pretty good odds to make it going into selection Sunday.
