I think it was Chad Cooley who got 2 of the outs

actually your memory is fading alittle. I was at that game myself and one of the more amazing things about that inning was with all of the hits and runs in it not a single one left the ball park.

I thought it was Jason Williams but you might be right.

That was amazing. But truly I was there and I was on the phone with my son who was in the service and I was giving him play by play. Yea maybe none left the yard but many hit the fence.

I am pretty sure the homer you are thinking about was hit by Moore ( forget his first name ) was Eddy Furniss back up at first base. He hit it in the 9th inning.

now that I think about it, I think it was Jeremy Moore.

My two favorite may actually be the Tigers rallying to avoid elimination in the last games at the Box. So much history in that stadium, and the 9th inning rally to avoid elimination by the Anteaters nearly brought a tear to my eye.

Also, the 1993 CWS semi-final matchup with Long Beach State. Both teams have one loss. Game is tied going to the top of the 9th. Long Beach State scores 2 in the top of the 9th, LSU rallies in the bottom of the 9th (Armando Rios atones for a key error with the game tying hit), and of course the memorable walk-off hit by Todd Walker.

Those are two of my favorites. I might go with the UC Irvine comeback because it was the last weekend at the Box.

Now I'm not saying it was the best inning ever..... but the back to back to back home runs against UC Irvine in '08 was really cool!

I went to school with Cooley. His cousin sold insurance for a while here in LC. All cool people. I have a middle school yearbook where he signed, "Let one rip." He always farted in math class. LOL

Real cool dude though.

For me it is the game 2 comeback vs Irvine. I spent $500 to fly to Baton Rouge the day of the game at 16 years old. I think it was every last dollar I had saved up but it was totally worth it to watch those 3 games. I also like the 2000 CWS Final just because I was 10 years old, was really starting to play competitively baseball, and loved LSU baseball. Never forget that moment as long as I live.

I just loved how the home runs got progressively bombed deeper.
First it was Gibbs, if I remember right. Hit just over the wall.
Then Blake Dean hit one a little further up into the stands.
And then Matt Clark just sailed one over the stands entirely. Landed in the parking lot somewhere. I can't tell you how many times I've re-watched that.

I'm thinking of the one in 1989. aTm had a juggernaut team that year

But we had an insane pitching staff that year

Russ Springer - 18 MLB seasons
Paul Byrd - 14 MLB seasons
Curtis Leskanic - 11 MLB seasons
Ben McDonald - 9 MLB seasons
Mike Sirotka - 6 MLB seasons
Chad Ogea - 6 MLB seasons

Mike Sirotka was the best pitcher I have ever seen at LSU. Didn't get to see McDonald. Sirotka pitched in '92, right?

Started going to The Box when in 1990 when I was nine. I remember the names Johnny Tellechea, Armando Rios, Rick Greene, Gary Hymel, Lyle Mouton, and Chad Ogea. I think we beat The Citadel twice in the CWS but lost to Oklahoma State twice. Can't remember who we beat in the NCAA Regional to advance to the CWS. That 1990 season was special, even though we didn't win it all.

You may want to re-watch it one more time.
