I think the top 3 greatest would have to be:
2008 vs Cal Irvine Game 2 Rally
2008 vs Rice World Series Rally
2009 vs Texas Game 1 CWS Champ Series

Obviously the best output wise is the one against Georgia Tech, didn't someone (Brad Wilson maybe) hit 2 grand slams in that inning

There are so many special innings I can think of
but back in the day this was a table setter for
what LSU baseball was about to become!

This would get my vote. Only because I was there.

But it's tough to argue with the 96 championship 9th inning.

I wondered if this ever happened. I remember being at a game a few years back when blake gill hit a grand slam and then came back up in the same inning with bases loaded and got out.I thought he had a chance at history.

That was great without question, but for me the bridge to that was the one at A$M in '86.

That was kind of the watershed moment for LSU baseball like the '78 Double-OT win over Kentucky with 5 starters fouled out was for Dale and LSU hoops.

Wasn't there a LSU player that made 2 outs in that inning?

I think it may have been Morris.

I'm thinking of the one in 1989. aTm had a juggernaut team that year. I remember listening to it on the radio in my apartment at Oakbrook.

So freakin' exciting. Rich Cordani FTMFW, IIRC.

ETA: Oops -- Pat Garrity FTMFW.

But for many in Baton Rouge, one game still stands out above all the others. One game that came before the trips to Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Neb., site of the College World Series.

That game was played in College Station.

And many feel it paved the way for all those trips to Omaha and the national championships that followed.

I was living in a quadruples at the time. I was screaming and bouncing off the walls so hard, my neighbors called the cops because they thought I was getting beat up. Sorry officer.

We scored what, 24 runs in the 6th inning against Ga. Tech? That was the greatest inning. Yours is the greatest moment, though!
