Tell the students the band is going to play neck every quarter during the miss st game. If one chant of STTDB is heard, then all student sections tickets will be sold as general admission for bama game.
Trust me those seats would be full of people, and their kids, who wouldn't be chanting STTDB.

It's pretty simple....
We love the song. We want them to play it.
They don't play it because of the language that comes with it.... and we're on National TV.
So, if you know they will play the song more if the language stops.... and you WON'T stop... you are part of the problem.

I doubt recruits care much about the student section. 100K screaming fans is 100k screaming fans. And students could get in. They'd just have to pay General Public prices.
You do realize LSU isn't even in the top 25 of student ticket prices. It's literally a courtesy done to the students that the prices are so low.
And LSU doesn't need a student section. This isn't podunk U where you need the students to fill the stadium (for the big games).

Everyone should be able to attend and enjoy. I have no problem with a rowdy student section. I grew up in Tiger Stadium as my parents had season tickets. I am an alum. I spent years at LSU games in the student section. I have no problem with people getting wild. But when the cursing and rudeness turns from individual to corporate, it has crossed the line. You know you are taking a chance of having a drunk spilling and cursing behind you. That is accepted. However, when that is the face of the university, it is sad.
We should not hear it from all locations in the stadium. There should be freedom to act like students.. wild, crazy, loud and even drunk if they so choose. There should also be the freedom to bring our children to a wonderful experience that we all grew up with and loved.
There are actually people who do not live that way. There are people who don't bring up their children that way and we also deserve to get to come to a game and enjoy it. Everyone does not get sloppy drunk. Some people actually have fun WATCHING a football game in a great environment. Some people actually pay money to enjoy the TIgers.

Pretty arrogant seeing as without the students LSU and LSU football doesn't exist. The student's tuition is what's paying for the University. That's why they're given this "courtesy". People here bitch about 5-10k in TAF fees for some big time sideline seats. LSU Students pay that each year and out of state students pay closer to 35k per year. But yeah. These students are given a bunch of handouts for discounted tickets.

Is it crude? Yes. Is anyone forcing you to buy tickets and go? Nope. If you refuse to go, thats fine. They will be sold to someone else. If you're a season ticket holder and refuse to sell them, oh well, the university got their money already so they don't care.
You can't control other peoples actions, you can only control your reaction.
