I like McMahon but if he doesn’t get us to the tournament next year, it’ll be time to move on. Grant McCasland of Texas Tech is the next great young coach out there and would be awesome here. I hope it doesn’t come to that but he has to be in Woodys shirt list if things don’t work out with MM.

Texas Tech plays in what is becoming a basketball powerhouse conference. It has been proven that you can win big at Texas Tech. It has not been proven you can win consistently at LSU. I'm not sure somebody would leave Tech to come to LSU. This isn't football or baseball.

He’s done a really good job at Tech this season (I guess you CAN win immediately at a place with several new players). But I’d like to see if he can sustain it. The great part about this era is that it has never been easier to rebuild a team. The downside is it may never be harder to sustain success with having to significantly flip the roster year after year

LOL!! You think Woody is going to pay a buyout and then what it would take to land McCasland!?!?

He didn’t have to pay a buyout to Wade, and still went cheap with MM on his annual salary. Now he made up for it with an obnoxiously long contract for a mid-major coach with no track record of building a program.

Dale Brown thinks you are an idiot. He’s not alone.

We don’t need to drive that far for this. Heck, we don’t even need to leave the state. 41 is still hella young for a basketball coach.

I feel the same way though.

I think that may be a tough get but I suspect if Woody really wants him, he could hire him away.
