It's not by design we let a RB isolate on our LBs

in man coverage? with AT LEAST 1 s playing deep zone?

without any blitzing, if the LBs aren't on the RBs, then who are?

A- We held Auburn to 14 points on the plains even with our young secondary, we contained Armanti Edwards, and we only allowed maybe two sustained drives against MSU. The pressure has been a lot more prevalent this year, and our LBs have emerged quicker than we thought they would. Keep in mind that Darry has been out. Also, the young secondary has matured quickly as well! Hawkins had two picks in our Aub. win.

So you arent impressed with Cutrera or how Kelvin stepped it up against Auburn?

SFP, you dont think that the young talent has developed more quickly than anticipated?

I can definitely see more consistent pressure being brought which is a change from the mid-season blitz drought last year. I dont know what youre watching.

And then come back and chase a dude down and make a nice tackle...then demolish Dixon for a 3 yd loss? That guy? The one that noone expected anything out of this year anyway...who has produced nicely? Yea, just making sure we're talking about the same guy.

our secondary has played well but i expected it AND they're not young (RS Sr, RS Jr, RS Jr, RS So)

we blitz like 3, maybe 4 times a game, and usually we drop a DL when we send a LB

That was some straight vanilla D against State. I haven't seen that plain jane of D against an SEC opponent in a long time. Not sure why, but they let that QB for State have entirely too mcuh time. It didn't make sense at this point. UF has film on our D from the AU game. I doubt we held back in that game, so it made no sense to hold back against State. We are 4-0, so the D gets a B+, but the pass defense needs to improve.

The game was never in doubt. Lots of vanilla. LSU wanted a win, without anyone getting hurt.
