Glad you brought that up. Well Miller wasn't ever that great. It was because he came from a top ranked school.

Miller in 2020-21: 8.3pts 39% FG 34% 3Pt 68% Ft

In what world is this good???

Hill has been dealing with personal issues all season...but it's the coaches fault...seems logical.

Like sucking at basketball and a lack of playing time.

Someone please have an actual basketball discussion with me as to why any of this bs y'all are spitting makes sense. Please.

Did you watch LSU's offense this season? Actually watch them try to execute it? It was horrible. The entire offense was ball-screen heavy. Yet many times the the PG (regardless of who it was) would waste 10-15 seconds of the shot clock at the top of the arc while the four players spread along the baseline looked at one another trying to figure out who was supposed to set a screen? They wouldn't even initiate the god damn offense until there was 10-15 seconds on the shot clock! The screens were often half-hearted because everyone was unsure where to go. The off the ball movement was minimal. The ball movement was many times non existent

And that is just focusing on the offense which was the BETTER end of the floor for LSU. The defense was somehow WORSE.

Missouri: 31.5% of minutes played and 32.9% of scoring return from 2021-22 roster

LSU: 15.8% of minutes played and 7.3% of scoring return from 2021-22 roster

Not a similar roster turnover...

Missouri brought in 10 new players and will be going to the NCAA Tournament.

LSU brought in 10 new players and finished dead last in the SEC with one of the worst teams among all of the major conference programs.

Was Kobe Brown (Missouri's only proven returning player) individually better than anything LSU brought back, yes. No question. But you can easily make the argument KJ Williams, the SEC's second leading scorer and 7th leading rebounder this season, matched Brown's production, if not exceeded it. So those two cancel each other out. That basically puts the comparison between the other players on each team. Simply put, Dennis Gates was able to get FAR more production out of his overhauled roster than McMahon was.

Of course, the most frustrating part is NO ONE expected LSU to have the type of season Missouri had and NO ONE would have been angry if they didn't. But LSU didn't even come close matching half of Missouri's SEC win total (11)

Relative to preseason expectations NO ONE in the league performed worse than LSU. The only team that was somewhat close was Ole Miss...and they fired their HC during the season.

Coaches fault, yep. Glad you know that's what it was.

Watched every game. Did you ever watch the Murray St offense? Was this what you saw on the floor this year? If not, why?

They also returned 1/3 of their scoring production while we added BENCH PLAYERS from Miss St, NC State, Murray St and expected them to cover for Hill and Miller sucking??

Missouri returned 80% of the 40 minutes from last year.

His choice of transfers was based on potential and not right now, so that's definitely his fault. He probably didn't realize TigerDroppings was filled with so much basketball knowledge and thought he could get away with it. It definitely wasn't the fact that he signed a long term contract with little to no expectation from administration this year. Anyone who expects bench players with little minutes to blossom into really good players in one season are foolish.

You mark those as negatives but they are three of the most important aspects in being a great HC

They all came in young and too cool for school as a staff. They better buy more talent, cause they can't hold a team together and they sure as hell ain't out coaching anyone.

The loss to Texas A and M just took their soul out of their body. Never recovered

D- is the grade just because it's year 1.

Ah didnt know

Hill, KJ, Trae, Coleman, and Hayes were all bench scrubs at their previous stops and obviously long term projects.

They returned Kobe Brown (13 ppg, 8 rpg) and his brother Kaleb (1 ppg and 1 rpg). That’s 80% of their production?
