Looks like Watson and Reid should be able to play this weekend and Hess possibly open to coming out of the bullpen. He will be a game time decision. Hopefully we get quality starts and he can rest. We will need his innings moving forward.

We may not even get a game in tonight so all in all it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to give them another day of rest. We need those guys.

I meant to mention that. I am guessing the Friday game stays put and we play 2 on Saturday.

Saw this from James Moran & chuckled

quote:

Back to baseball for a second. I asked Chris Reid how the hamstring injury might affect his speed and he giggled.
Lateral quickness and explosiveness at third base is more the concern, he said.
"My speed already doesn't play that big of a role in my game."

I also read that if it weren’t for the game being on SECN they would have probably already changed it which makes sense

As Mainieri once said describing Reid's speed, "Chris runs really hard. He just doesn't run very fast."

That isn’t likely. The SEC says the DH must be played on the next available date. If there is a DH on Saturday it will be 2 7 inning games.

Likely if there is no game tonight. It will be a 2pm and 7pm type DH tomorrow with 1 game on Saturday.

Something like that, IMO. Friday is a holiday so attendance for an afternoon game won't be too bad.

But the way the weather looks, it looks like ending around 6-7. So a 8pm first pitch could be possible depending on how much rain falls. I bet they try everything possible to play tonight.

The way they make this sound it’s like armegadeon. That maybe I shouldn’t leave the most inner part of my house in the bathroom tub all day. I can’t imagine it being that bad.

I know. That's why I posted my sarcastic comment.

The local weather gurus have been screaming about today's weather forecast since Monday. It's almost like they've been tracking a hurricane heading our way.

I guess that helps them sell advertising.
