He's going down swinging haymakers. Love to see it.

He's special for sure.

When you watch slo-mo replays sometimes you see guys swing and blink while hitting.

When you watch slo-mo of him a lot of times you can see his eyes follow the ball to the bat, and his eyes then move exactly which field the ball is going to.

It's pretty damn cool. I feel like he will have a great MLB career. Well, I hope.

In your opinion what makes him different from a Jake Mangham or an Antoine Duplantis?

Honestly not awful comparisons. He’s more athletic than Antoine duplantis when it comes to speed/change of direction. They didn’t really have as much data tracking when Antoine played and I’m sure he’s percentiles were very good but Curiel is 99th percentile in chase out of zone (doesn’t chase out of zone often) 99th percentile in contact within the strike zone. 99th percentile whiff %

6'2 185 vs 5'10 165. DC has an athletic MLB frame which they hope translates to power.

Also has elite contact numbers. Better swing path. Better exit velocity.

Higher ceiling by a lot. I think he will succeed.

He’s Tommy White without the power numbers. Both elite hitters to the opposite field.

That’s the difference in “Putting the bat on the ball” instead of “Ball running into the bat”.

Several of LSU hitters has struggled all year with that if you go back and watch a lot of their at bats this year.

He also has great situational awareness of the game, which you can't teach.
