I said this prior. Ed 0 had yall believing what he wanted yall too. The man wanted that USC job badly. If he was the head man at USC, you think he would have came back to LSU if we came calling with money after letting go of Les?

Natchitoches is NOT closer to Larose than Baton Rouge

I don't care if a coach loves LSU. It's utterly irrelevant.
You and I may not, but you are crazy to believe that not a huge chunk of LSU fans loved the O hire simply because he was a Cajun boy who supposedly bleeds P&G.

It. Doesn't. Matter.

You don't have to be great to want to win wherever. Next year will determine if O is Gene Chizik or not.

You loving LSU and O being on scholly, quitting and playing for another team are two entirely different circumstances.

Of course it is, but how in gods name is O choosing to go elsewhere an indictment on his love for LSU? That's just a moron making a morons argument, grasping at straws.

There are numerous guys that transfer from LSU every single year, and never does "love for LSU" come into play. Those guys are ultimately making the best decisions for themselves, and we as fans are almost always understanding. But because LSU is struggling this year now we're questioning O's love for LSU because he chose to go elsewhere four decades ago.

Truly an argument only a moron would make.

My point was the media making him the son of LSU.....not whether he loved/liked LSU. Now, have some replies gone there? Maybe.....not my control.

You really need to reexamine your rebuttals. You are the foolish one. I am far from a "moron" and am quite familiar with the internals of LSU football.

Categorically false! Those transfers are absolutely discussed here and some of them are NOT viewed fondly. Matter of fact, when a player leaves LSU for truly selfish reasons, then they are no longer a Tiger. Thats how it works. Now, for some kids, it's a decision that hurt but needed to happen......thats different.

Do you truly think people don't hash out transfers?!?!?!

Dumb question....
Since when did a coach have to play at a school before being hired ?, or even have loved the school?

Did Saban love Alabama before going there ?

to be fair, i called bullshite on his love for LSU during his interim stint in ‘16.

there is plenty enough proof that he never gave us a second thought prior to then without even mentioning his transfer from here in the 70s.

he begged for an interview with Syracuse talking about it being a dream come true to go back there.
he had an entire article/interview written up professing his undying love for USC. while his children were wearing USC gear. calling USC family. while sitting in the bleachers of a Louisiana high school stadium.

dude point blank never gave 2 fricks about LSU until it dawned on him that “one of us” and “dream job” was actually going to outweigh ability.

when that coach uses that on the campaign trail as his major bargaining tool.

No, you are just irrelevant. When did Saban come to love Bama? Dabo, Clemson?

How many kids love one school and yet for one reason or another play for another one.

Ask any kid....
what school was your favorite when growing up?
Probably not the one they are playing for.
