Offseason thread but why are the gold jerseys so great in baseball but general consensus is that they are arse in football? Has to be just tradition, right?

That’s the main reason - LSU historically wears white at home (I’m sure you’re aware)

In baseball it’s normal to have multiple daily uniforms.

It’s not historically normal for football to have more than a home and away.

I loved them when we wore them in the 90’s.

Good question honestly. The point about it being normal to have a different baseball jersey every game is a good one. Also, in baseball the gold jerseys are paired with purple caps which I think goes nicely. In football, in the 90s they paired the gold jerseys with a different shade of “gold” helmet and more recently with white helmets.

The best Gold jerseys are the ones we wore when Leonard Fournette was here. I think it was against State in 2016? But I liked those. Not the biggest fan of the Gold jerseys they’ve worn the last couple of years.

Because heaven forbid LSU wear anything but the same old white jersey for every game. It's a stupid tradition.

I wish this was 100% true.

There no need for a program like LSU to have nothing more than a home and away.
