I figured we’d bust out an all black “unconquered” look ala Florida State in the mid 2000’s and really make a statement.

We’re LSU. We don’t need gimmick uniforms or different styles. Here’s what we need:

1 helmet: Gold

2 jerseys: White and Purple

1 pair of pants: Gold.

That’s it. Nothing else. Our best years before the 21st century were 1958-73. They wore a gold jersey at Florida circa 1959, but otherwise it was white jerseys (occasionally purple if someone broke out white). And the pants and helmets were always gold.

And in the 2000s, we were predominantly gold helmets, white or purple jerseys, gold pants. When people turn on a TV and see gold helmets and gold pants, they know it’s LSU.

Burn the white helmets and white pants. We don’t even need them for just one game because that’s too many.
