Just as a side note, depending on traffic over the weekend an easier route from your hotel to the stadium may be to take Old Settlers all the way to North A.W. Grimes, turn right onto Grimes down to US 79, then left on 79 to the stadium. Will avoid any I35 congestion which is usually backed up between University and 620 McNeil

Even better, just stay on Old Settlers and cut through the park or take it to Redbud and approach Dell Diamond from the east.

you can avoid the sun hitting your face if you sit on the 3rd base side - weather is looking 70s and clear for that weekend

Texas is not selling the LSU game by itself - you have to get season tickets or mini plans

There is great BBQ everywhere if you look for it. We are in the Heart of Texas of course there is great BBQ here.
Personally I like certain BBQ places just because of a sauce and Salt Lick the Carolina mustardy style BBQ is good but not my favorite. Great BBQ though I don’t want to discount that.

You must eat at Salt Lick, which is actually located next to the stadium. Maybe not the very best BBQ in the region but it's in the top 5.

Salt Lick BBQ is really good, but the sides are not that great. The meat makes up for it though
