if you're going to argue, at least post reasonable shite. Super Regional first season as coach.

So now we’re declaring guys as “great coaches” based on a single season of work? How’d season 2 go?

And you want to talk about reasonable.

we're discussing AC as an assistant hitting coach. You are here trying to act like i'm putting him in the head coach hall of fame. Get a fricking grip. Amateur hour here.

to be fair, he merely said AC is a “great collegiate coach”; I asked if that was based on his complete failure as a collegiate coach at Miss State.

He was only a hitting coach for a few more years than you.

It's not anything that disproves he's not a great collegiate coach. Andy had a ton of success in the roles he played in a short time period. He's a good dude and is well liked by most.

les miles won a football national championship. his hiring @ Kansas - cost him his job, the AD that hired him , the university president job @ another university.
so our new baseball coach is going to put his new
job on the line, along with our , AD , new university president, our new BOS, etc, etc, etc.
Andy is lucky that he is coaching high school ball and still married!

If the next coach can't find the right pitching to make a strong run into Omaha while Morgan, Crews, Doughty, Thompson, Arnold, Coleman, Edwards, etc are all on the team.....then that guy may not have been the right guy...at least in my estimation.

I'm not sure what Dugas' draft stock is but if he comes back next year that just adds even more to that....if Dugas comes back then that's 6/9 spots filled with guys that at times have all been reliable hitters. You'd like to think the next guy might be able to develop guys like Drost, Sanford, and Travinski. Travinski's injury was shitty.....I bet he would have been in that group from above if he would have gotten all of the at bats he was in line for this year.
