Glad JJ is being restored THIS week.

I would hate for this to occur next week before Florida or in the week right before Bama.
Lee is not likely to struggle against UK, in fact he is likely to light it up. This will allow him an easier process to get accustomed to being the #1 starter with JJ on the sidelines looking for his chance to play again. If we get up on UK as we should, and if Miles thinks JJ is actually ready for a game (which is questionable with 2 days of recent practice under his belts), then JJ can have a chance without a lot of pressure. If JJ is not ready, then Mett can get some SEC experience late in the game, and that might even be better in the big picture so that we have 3 QB's with SEC experience under their belt for the SEC run.
I like it.

We should know what Les' true plan is after this week. I've seen all the "coach speak" quotes about the situation but Les will show his cards this week. If he truly believes that JJ is a legit option, then he will want to get him as much action as possible vs UK in order to prepare him for UF. I am not talking about Les wanting JJ to be the starting QB but about JJ being a bigger part of the game plan than just being the backup QB.

Lee should be the QB for the rest of the season, followed by Mett. JJ had his chance and blew it. Seniors should be setting the example in a good way, not doing the things he was involved in. Lee is doing everything that is expected of him and more. JJ needs to sit the rest of the year. What a waste of talent.

If we go to a two QB system against Florida next week, I predict LSU will lose the game. I think the chemistry on this team will be compromised and we will go back to a Davey vs. Booty situation.

Mett is the backup QB at this time. Mett will see action in the Ky game if LSU wins big. Even JJ might see some wildcat action just to get him on the field again. JJ will not just be the backup right now. He will have to earn it back. As slow as he was in the past getting ready for a game, it will take weeks for him to develop. He will have to prepare long and hard because of the games coming up. He may never see the field against Fla or Bama, but he is an asset as a running wildcater..........glad to see him back and ok from the trial.......he's just a young kid that did something he should have not done. I really believe he and the teammates have learned a valuable lesson and that is why one goes to College.......

I'm kinds hoping Miles will put him in on just 2 days practice. That should settle this debate for the rest of the yr

Giving JJ unnecessary playing time or going 2 platoon does not make any sense at this point.
We're a well oiled machine; we've been good up and down the field and good in the redzone. We don't need a wildcat QB or a redzone QB.
My fear is that last year when Lee outperformed JJ in the beginning of the year, JJ would always get the start again next week and get more plays. It appeared Miles rathered JJ in the game. I hope he changed his tune.

Did any of you read the transcript of Miles's call-in show last night? He said "this is Lee's team, he is the starting quarterback, and doing anything else would be irresponsible on my part." I believe that should answer all questions for now. Why don't we all just sit back and see what happens before going off the deep end. I think Miles is smart enough to realize his team has chemistry now, and he also doesn't want to mess it up. Give the man some credit please!

I was thinking the same thing. Put him in and let him throw a pick, then Lee will play the rest of the year.

Yes he did. I was surprised he did not evade this question. It is telling that he uncharacteristically provided details that he just did not have to state. VERY unlike CLM. VERY. It has to have some basis for him to have said so.
