He took some major hits this week. Played relatively well (his only INT was RR's fault IMO). His legs kept us in the game. And, also IMO, if he is in on that last play, we get the first down on the fourth and six. I am not saying lets crown him the starter, or even that he is competent, but i think he deserves some credit for playing well.

I don't blame Lee for that 4th down I blame our coaches and Tolliver basically quitting on the play.

Some credit- ok. But most of the drops this season have been bacause he doesn't throw the ball to the hands or numbers. He leave the WR's hung out when they have to go high or throws it behind them where they lose momentum so even if they do catch it they don't get to run very long after the catch. Bottom eLine - JJ isn't very accurate.

Randle should have caught that ball, but it was still a bad pass.

JJ is best QB we have. JL should not have played Auburn game. We needed an athletic/mobile QB like JJ. O-line was being dominated. We needed JJ in so he could move around and make a play. Unlike JL, run on 4th and 6, gets tackled short of the first. He know that was out of his league.

Yeah. His usual deficiencies hurt us on the 1st drive of the game, and Lee was doing well but got screwed when D. Peterson dropped a first down and his blockers couldn't protect him on the next drive.

After that, JJ did about as well as you could possibly expect of him. It worked okay in the first half, but once Auburn started loading the box in the 2nd half, there wasn't much that LSU could do in terms of sustaining drives with first downs.

15 first downs in 1st half = GOOD

3 first downs in 2nd half = BAD

I just feel like the recivers dont play for JJ at all. Either that, or they are grossly overrated. You can bet your arse that Julio Jones, Adams or Childs from Arky, Darwin Adams, and good WR catches that ball. Its not like a spectacular play was needed... it went straight through both hands

It's human nature to get nervous when someone stares you down and throws to you with a long motion. In the back of your mind, you have to be thinking about the defenders who are closing on you.

It's not that the WRs aren't trying as hard with JJ in the game. It's that the whole process of throwing the ball takes longer and makes them jumpier.

This only applies on mid-range routes and short touch passes by the way. On slants and deep bombs and throws to the sidelines, JJ's passes are fine.

We may have lost the game, but we can always cherish the memory of his 12-yard pass to Toliver streaking across the field before the end of the first half.

:sigh:

I agree. I was actually wondering why he wasn't in there to run for it. He was doing really well running all game.

I'm starting to see this too. The same can be said for the OLine, except for this game because they just flat out sucked the whole game.

I don't see how that pass was catchable by Randle. But I do think there is something between JJ and Toliver. That, or Toliver is just really close with Lee.

LOL

What some people see when they watch LSU play is baffling to me.

JJ, the guy who didn't lead a TD drive for like 19 straight possessions or throw a TD pass in 6.5 games is better than the guy who led 8 TDs in basically 2 halves of a football game?

JJ was never-never-never a QB "Smiles" wanted him to be "the one" kinda like the "hope and change" in our WH.

JJ whould have been a great running back as that position requires less thinking only natural individual response.

There's lots of "great" 6'5" running backs out there, lol.

Where do you get 3 first downs in the 2nd half? Perhaps I missed something but my review of the drive chart only shows 1 first down by LSU in the second half, and not any drive longer than 1:46 off the clock. That's pretty pathetic no matter how you want to slice it.

Are you freakin serious??? Unless you are saying it was RR's fault for getting wide fricking open, or ur saying it was his Mama and Daddy's fault for not producing an 8 ft. child...then I would catch your drift.

this is quite comical, but it IS YOUR OPINION

Best part about that is, YOU don't have to!!! Unfortunately, Miles did that in the offseason!

THIS is correct. He did play better, but he has shown us this season that it takes him about half a quarter to get settled in. He has spotted WVU, UF, McNeese, and now AU with 7 points early with fumbles and INTs.

So, WHY couldn't Miles see this and just start Lee for this game, put some early points up. Then put JJ in for the 3rd or 4th series to run the ball???

PLEASE TELL ME, you are not a moron! Please tell me that you really believe that last play was called for Lee to run the ball. this oughta be fun to hear.

JJ is not > than JL by the way
