I posted last week about the traffic issues getting into and out of the stadium (2+ hours to get from I-10 @ College to Natatorium lot & 1 hour to get out of the same lot).

I crossed the bridge this week @ about 1:30 & did not have any traffic getting on campus. NONE. I stopped at 1 red light & that was it. Nicholson Dr. was empty.

I left the stadium at the end of the game. It took 9 minutes from the time we got in my vehicle to get on I-10 W. I don’t know if you can do that on a Tuesday afternoon.

I read LSU’s traffic email & laughed. But I will say, at least for me, they got traffic right last night.

I’m what world do people expect a stadium of 90,000 plus to not have traffic issues after a game? I don’t get the obsession with this topic week after week. I’ve been to games all over the SEC and sat in traffic after every one.

Of course people expect traffic problems. It’s just a matter of the severity. people don’t think the problems should be as bad as they are.

I’ve been a season ticket holder since the 95 season. There have been very few times that I have complained about traffic. I expect a certain level of it because, you’re correct, getting 90-100k people on & off campus in an orderly manner is not easy.

Last Saturday, however, was a disaster & LSU basically admitted as much. I made this thread to, as the title states, give credit where it’s due. LSU corrected the problems they had last week. If you’re going to complain about bad, then you should praise good.

It would help a lot if they didn’t close every other street leaving the campus

I don’t know. They may not have done anything different. I just know that, for me, there was not a traffic problem last night.

That’s certainly true. I went to the LSU- Arkansas game in November of 2014 and that was some of the slowest moving post- game traffic I’ve ever seen.

I posted last week too.

35 years, same streets, same stadium, same, parking lots. You think they’d have it nailed by now.

This excuse is absolute hot garbage. If any “fan” can’t do this a handful of times per year when major cities experience this multiple times per week, then you’re more of a pussy than your parents said you’d be. The constant bitching about this just makes all doing it look even more weak.

Just a guess here, but when it takes you three times as long as it should to get where you are going in your major city traffic you never complain.

Jumping on a message board & calling someone names that has something positive to say is amazing. Maybe, just maybe, you should move out of your major city. I think it may be affecting how you view life.
