Does every thread on this message board that involves a woman have to be reduced to debased misogyny? Have a little respect.

If she's allowed to play; guys should be able to play volleyball for the girls squad and just fricking smash spikes.

So many things to do, so little time

I've never seen how this is handled by the smaller schools that have had an occasional woman kicker
I've seen this in co-ed rugby scrimmages but never a live match that counts worth a shite.
In these scrimmages the guys tended to do 'just enough' whether it was ruck over her(like blocking), break her tackle, or tackle her. It seemed the speed was there but less 'umph' in the contact when the females were involved, probably out of respect.
That said, i don't see an SEC football player just doing 'enough' to block a female from the other team during a return.
I'm interested in this question as well.

You let her go and worry about blocking someone who actually has a chance of making the tackle.
The real question is what if you're the kick returner and she just absolutely lights you up? That, my friends, is grounds for hari kari.

I've had some classes with her and she's no petit female. I'm sure she could put a hit on some chumps. That being said, I'm sure every lead blocker she kicked against would be head hunting to knock her out. If she's going to be on the field, no quarter should be given.

It would be a PR coup to have a woman on the football team, but it won't happen.
Va Tech invited one to their upcoming spring practice, she tried out this fall and Beamer apparently thought she was good enough.
Hasn't made a big PR splash though.

If she tackles the returner, he might as well just leave the game.

Let her kick guys. You know our guys would be motivated more to block for her.

Right. Now that I think about it. Returns are so fast that the blockers will not likely be able to think "oh that's the girl kicker" before way-laying her. Unfortunate for everyone if that happens. Lose Lose for the blocker and obviously Isom if she get's a bad concussion or breaks something.
If she CAN kick to the GL or the 5, has the idea that she simply head to sideline after kicking been kicked around(pun intended)?

Why make it 10v11? I don't care how tall or how much she weighs, if you don't think the smallest guy on any return squad can light her arse up and probably hurt her (unintentionally) you're crazy.

That's what I'm thinking. At what point does a coach weigh the cost-benefits.
If female can kick to the 5 and the GL, simply have her walk off the field.
Is that more likely to give up a big return than what we are currently doing with 11 men?
Err, maybe RUN off the field. :)

I have no doubt that she could probably kick the shite out of at least half of the rant posters. Some of y'all are acting more like women than she does.

She needs to just kick it out the end zone. Problem solved.

I don't doubt that. I'm thinking realistically and as a caller to AFR last week said, these athletes aren't like "normal guys". Mo can probably whoop our asses but not SEC athletes who are mostly over 200 lbs benching 300+ and running <5 sec 40yds. It's just a dangerous proposition. I am all for letting her kick. It's the tackling I'm suggesting is lose-lose for everyone involved.

Amazes me that LSU has 3 scholly kickers and not one of them can kick it to the 5 at least?
Incredible.
