Listen I am sure they will improve but we will likely just be extremely average again. Makin it to NCAA tournament first round shouldn't save her job. LSU is screwed once Moncrief leaves, its reality. She does almost everything for this team and ones in years past. I think Pointer is solid but the issue is we have a major talent issue.
The 2018 recruiting class is a joke. I was hoping adding Demoss would boost that but its not.
She has had PLENTY of time, I won't listen to the excuses more. She has new faces? So does everyone else.
IMO she doesn't deserve more time unless she makes into the top 4 of the SEC and that will not happen. SEC will be painful this year a lot of good teams
This recruiting class confirmed we are now just content and we will never reach that next level. She can coach until she is blue in the face but the talent will not ever allow her to be a ranked team. I am sorry but this program deserves a hell of a lot better
Clearly, you don't know what you're talking about.
I'd been on Nikki's side "for years" as well. I expect this team to be better than last years team..............and I believe it will be. But to make a judgement in the THIRD GAME of a thirty game season, is beyond ridiculous. People were bellyaching at the beginning of last season as well when the team started off 3-4. Now, I don't necessarily like seeing slow starts but, 1-2 is certainly no time to panic and not the point in the season where you start calling for the coach's head.
The sky is not falling.
The program is not nearly where it was during the glory years but, Nikki did earn another year based on the fact that her team last year was better than the two previous seasons..................when it did appear we were in a decline. She's earned the opportunity to build the program back up and it appears the AD is going to let her try. So, let's just be patient and not over-react after one week of play.

Is this suppose to be some major accomplishment?
Jury is still out if this team will be better, zero excuse not to after returning Mitchell, Moncrief and Jackson

No people are bitching because she is completely under performing. This is year 6. After years 3 its essentially all on her. Look at what Nikki has done with her players and her style
The standards should not just be making it to the dance. Thats ridiculous, its like me askin for LSU football to make a bowl appearance as a standard.
Its the definition of very average and its definitely not what we are paying her to do. If you are content with this mediocre program now then have at it, I'm not content with it. And most fans aren't either.

Unless she leads this team to a top 4 finish in the SEC and make it to a sweet 16 or elite 8, she doesn't deserve to stay.
We hear this every year, "next year will be way better" it wont be better next year with Moncrief absent, it wont.
6 years is beyond plenty of time, most of her success was earlier on, that is completely gone now
Nikki does not deserve the benefit of the doubt, she is in year 6 and we are much further than where we started off. Its not even a discussion.
She completely evaporated the talent of this program

Build up? She should have done this from the start. Now she "earned" it after year 5?
WTF and no it won't happen, the recruits are not SEC caliber level player.
She deserves zero more time as she has not shown she can recruit worth a damn. Its not like she had a better year and then she adds a top ten class. We had a very mediocre year and now add probably one of her worst classes since she has been here. I'm done with the excuses at year 6

In my opinion, it started going downhill after she got pregnant and became a mom. I am not mad at her for it or blame her but stats, effort and recruiting classes show that she has been lazy at her job.
There is no excuse in year 6 to be having the same issues with no signs of progression. Look up and down that roster, its weak and 2018 class is currently lacking athletes as well. No Athletes, no success. She needs to go, should have been let go 2 seasons ago in my opinion.
