At 1:10 into the interview, I found it interesting that Taylor is watching LSU film to change his offense to fit Burrow.
Smart coaches change their offense to fit their players when they have to. You may hate him, but Dan Mullen is really good at that.
Gio Bernard interview. Listen to the first few minutes...

It really is amazing that an NFL coach is talking openly about copying LSU’s offense and describing it as very complex.

Still hard to believe! Nice find.

According to Barton Simmons on the Cover 3 podcast, several SEC defensive coaches are on record saying LSU’s offensive scheme was nothing special, but they just out executed opposing teams.

Honestly, go back and watch how often Burrow had to come manipulate the pocket, avoid blitzes and deliver off schedule throws and you have to agree. Those Defenses had the right call & Many QBs are getting sacked, throwing it away, or worse in those plays. But Joe made those his Heisman moments.

Bordy I so agree and don’t think that will ever get enough credit. It’s what helps ease my thoughts on losing joe Brady but only time will tell

I mean Saban is on record as saying the offense has “no weaknesses”. Call that as you will

Because he got beat duh. He’s covering his arse so he can lessen the blow. Burrow made that offense what it was. His pocket awareness was second to none

Uhh he gave up the most points ever at home. Saban is still one of the best defensive minds in football. Not discrediting Burrow because he was amazing. But let’s not act like this offense was nothing special from an X’s and O’s standpoint. shite it got Brady from going to Payton’s grad assistant to an NFL oc job in one year.

LSU’s offense was in no way complex last year. It was just executed to perfection with 1st round talent at QB, WR and RB. It’s the Jimmy’s and Joe's not the X’s & O’s.

So you’re saying Les and Cam Cameron could have run last years offense with the same personnel?

It was the players and execution primarily.

All you need is a first round heisman QB, a first round RB, 2 possibly 3 first round WRs, and the best Oline in the country, and you too could have an unstoppable offense, go figure.

Yes. 2013 LSU averaged 37 pts. and 465 yards. 2019 averaged 48 and 565. Put burrow on the 2013 team with Jarvis, Odell, and hill and they win it all averaging way over 40+ and 500+.
