I just talked to his agent (me). He can’t bunt and that’s a problem.

It’s amazing how many times Paul-coached teams fail to get a bunt down on the ground.

Gio whiffed completely, didn’t even touch the ball.

His bat wasn't even in the same zip code as the pitch he struck out on!

And when laying down a sac bunt you never offer at an obvious ball like the one that was in the dirt . Coaching or poor execution. It’s like Bianco swinging for a home run on a NECK HIGH 3-1 pitch. Then getting out. Should have been a lead off runner.

Inability to bunt is not nearly as bad as the fact that he misses most of the pitches he swings at. To be a bit polite about it.

The ncaa is far too busy with other things on the LSU campus to worry about this.

Bunting is just putting the bat in the path of the ball. I don’t understand why our hitters have so much trouble.

Marceaux is the only one that should be going pro from this team.

Tigerlawyer you’re so right so let’s call a hit and run with Gio up, who can’t foul strikes, against a pitcher who has been wild as a March hare. Another brilliant coaching move.

Even the announcer said he should be setting up way sooner than he was. It's not like he was going to surprise the pitcher with his intentions, when setting up at the last second.

Assuming the roster limits go back to normal rules next year I have a feeling the new coach may encourage everyone who's drafted to go pro so he can hit the portal

Man, it is like some of you have just started watching LSU baseball. Bunting is not part of the PM playbook. Why would LSU need to bunt with all these power, home run hitters on this team? The majority of you are the best comics on any board.

But Gio isn't a power hitter - speed is his game. Therefore he, and guys like him, should know how to lay down a bunt when needed.

If pm starts him he needs to bat 9th and have him swing away on 1st pitch fb strikes. Remove batting approach and swing away on his pitch....
