Georgia may have lost the last two games against Alabama in Atlanta, but they hung in there blow-for-blow and know what it takes to come out on top

Uhhh, they DO NOT know what it takes to come out on top.

Georgia, the Washington Generals of the SEC Championship game!

No problem with him being optimistic. What a lot of these guys don't get though is OM ran the ball on LSU from the qb position. Unless Fromm has been sandbagging for 3 years, that threat isn't there. Lsu is actually good against the run. Where they have been hurt is being out of position and giving up big plays. Hopefully that's improved.

He makes this article every week.

For example in week 2, he had “5 Reasons why Georgia beats Murray State”

Typical homer journalism, but he dove into the wishful thinking area with this quote:
"Seeing as how Georgia will shut down the run – that’s a fact not an assumption – I think the Dawgs defense will be able to do a fine job of limiting big plays from an LSU offense that has been so good at pulling those off.

We’ll be daring LSU to run the ball, and one run of negative or no gain could be what it takes to kill a drive."

LSU's run game isn't like anything UGA has seen. When the best offense you've faced all year was ND, then there will be a shell shock factor that they will have to get through when LSU goes on offense.

Clyde's stats against the best "total defenses" we've faced:

Florida (#10 defense) 13 car/134yds 2 TDs
Bama (#17 defense) 20 car/103yds 3 TDs
Auburn (#20 defense) 26 car/136yds 1 TD

Here's 3 reasons why LSU will win:

1) Fromm's inaccuracy - in his last 4 games, his completion %'s are 44.8%(Mizzou), 46.4%(AU), 47.8%(aTm), 48.3%(GTech). LSU will load the box and make Fromm beat them with his arm minus a few of his main targets.

2) Burrow's QB play - Go back to the better offenses (if you want to call them that) that UGA has played recently and you see the following stats:
Fla-Trask 21/33,257yds,2tds
AU-Nix 30/50,245yds,1td
aTm-Mond 25/42,275yds,1td

Burrow and the offense are light years ahead of these guys and they all had success.

3) LSU's underrated run defense - When anyone talks about LSU's rush defense they only talk about the Ole Miss game. Even with that outlier, LSU is ranked as the 28th best rush defense in the country giving up 124.5yds/game.

LSU - 34
UGA - 20

A paltry average of 124 yards at a 6.3ypa with 2 TDs Yea, it's a fact they'll shut Clyde down.

This is what people fail to realize. While LSU might not be the best pass rush, they are very good against the run. Seems as though they sell out on the RB on the option and leave the QB free. But Fromm is no speedster. They will not be able to keep up offensively. A couple 3 and outs LSU wins

He is just a homer. This is a bad matchup for Georgia. Amanda shut down a much better Georgia offense last year. If Fromm was a mobile guy, it would be more challenging.

I went through the first four reasons and thought, at worst, "Well, maybe..."

Then I saw this:
quote:

Limit the big play

That's going to be a "no" for me, dawg.
