Good thing you decided to describe college baseball as a niche sport when you knew there would be a ton of Tiger fans talking about the win last night. Sure, you didn't intend to get people riled up.
On a side note: I was just talking to my friend last night about how I hadn't been that nervous for an LSU sporting event in a long time. It made me consider if I was a bigger baseball fan or football fan. I always considered myself to be more interested in football, but I'm not so sure after last night.

Sounds like you got caught up in the moment. It was a very exciting game last night.
Think back to the LSU Florida football game in 2007. There's no way the baseball game from last night was as exciting.
