What is everyone cooking for the game tomorrow? I was thinking of smoking some ribs and chicken halfs. Looking for more ideas.

Boudin, boudin, and more boudin.

I had some lifelong friends come in from VA for the Alabama game last year and they got the full treatment over the weekend. Last thing they said to me before the left for the airport was "it was all great, but I didn't really like Boudin". We haven't spoken since.

Shrimp gumbo but I like the idea of some boudin. I may thaw out a pound of that too.

Forget boudin.
For out of state visiting guests, give them a local delicacy treat, Louisiana seafood!
Seafood Gumbo and Blackened redfish or broiled red snapper is something they will always remember and won`t get at home
The red aspect of redfish or red snapper also conforms with the "cook the competition" element I always like to include as well as the "tide" factor in seafood gumbo!
Save the boudin for when your coonass relatives come to town .

I live in Virginia now and have brought boudin back with me multiple times and everyone up here loved it. Your friends must be from Northern VA?

Well, the first thing you do is get yourself an egg. Once you figure out how to make it hatch, you got yourself 2 homemade chicken wings.
