What if we are "thinking for our future" and Mett gets his knee smashed in by Kentucky? How does that look for our future then?
It's 3rd and longer than a run is going to get since UK knows you are running it. Just goes against conventional wisdom to try another handoff.
This is football, you can play the what if game every play.
I for one don't enjoy the way Stoops and OU purposefully try to run up the score for style points, and I don't fault Miles for running the ball. But when it is 3rd and longer than a run will get you a pass is worth the time to judge your young players current comprehension and ability on your playbook.
