How bad will traffic be on game day from NOLA to BR? Thinking of buying a last minute ticket from DC to NOLA. Any better ideas or cheap ideas to get from DC to BR starting tomorrow night till kickoff?

Same thing with College Station, TX to Baton Rouge. Gotta go to sister in law’s ring day at A&M tomorrow before driving in Saturday morning.

Better than Friday 5pm traffic. It will start picking up around noon and then get worse as you get closer to about 5 pm.

NOLA to campus before 10am will be ok. Afternoon will be slow but not impossible.

It won’t be that bad honestly because people are heading to campus in different times throughout the day. It’s not like everyone is on the road at the same exact time like they are during work days at 5 o’clock.

Don’t worry

Have not read the other responses, but here is my FWIW:

Do not do the trip unless you have tickets before the game. Would be a waste to get down here and ot be able to get a ticket to the game.

Assuming you get above figured out, try to get here at least by 3:00 PM. By that time your best parking will probably be on Thomas Delpit, north of the campus. Dicey area, but you can get to the stadium pretty easy from there and then try to get back while there are a lot of others around.

Wear your colors, but not if thety are Bama..Not cool if you want to hang with the Tiger fans.

Enjoy,

Get off 10 at Hwy 30, take River Road from the casino into campus. Park in levee lots

It hasn't been bad for any of the games. But this is a big one. Any of the traffic leaving Nola is always heading out to the airport.

I've had no issues getting off Acadian and going to highland.
