I think that is a certainty unless LSU has a decent lead. That is the reason for hiding Cotton, Bonvillain and Bourgeois.

Yeah, I was just saying it because you never know with CPM

Randall Fant is a good pitcher. LSU will have to come ready to play tomorrow.

Aight boys turn to the hard stuff, hit up the old lady in a half hour if you can get it up, drink another couple after that, wake up with the ole' swampy head and get ready for a big one tomorrow. I'll lead the way as I'm outta here. See you boys tomorrow!

Probably figured lsu wasnt winning this game and didn't want to waste arms

this is true plus he might just want us to get embarrassed a little bit. Dude Skip would usually let a couple games slip on purpose. I remember one year we lost to ULM and ULL but we whipped butt and won the NC.

understand he throws a lot of junk. i hope we can do what many other LSU teams couldn't, and hit a junk ball pitcher.

I don't really care what you think about saving arms. No matter which side of the argument you're on.

No pitcher on any team outside of 9-10 year old parks and recreation district summer league play should stay on the mound after a third consecutive walk.

It's absolutely stupid. My main complaint has always been that we stick with pitchers too long. Tonight is a particularly glaring example of that.

This team's only given up three runs honestly. The rest it could be argued were the result of leaving pitchers in too long.

Yea, Eades went back to his old ways for a bit tonight and CM left him in too long again. Same with the relief pitchers. If they don't have it that night then pull them. This game will hopefully give the team a reality check. We knew we would have a pitcher have a bad day. We also knew their pitching was very good. Can't win them all.

I'm pretty sure Mainairi would have preferred to go to the bullpen in that spot. Hell, the guy he had warming was Nate Fury. That should tell you everything you need to know.

The decision was already made to not go to the top tier relievers. Once that decision was made, the reality is that there was no real good move that could be made.

Dude. You're over thinking that particular situation way too much. Maneri had already conceded when he brought the guy in to pitch. It was situational learning from that point on. He wanted to see how the guy would respond to it and see if he could work out of it. He was looking toward winning the series tomorrow and save our best arms for that.
