Ben McDonald does a pretty good job on ESPN

At least he wasn't a homer chump like Peterson when he picked Stanford two weeks ago on the selection show. They are getting paid to be analysts now; not cheerleaders. (Ben picked Florida).

It's not just the 12 pitches. There's a lot of preperation to warm up, then a 45 minute delay between games can mess you up too.

Yeah, but at this point they just need to keep him warm, have him ride the bike, and stretch. If he had thrown 30 pitches or so, it would be a different story.

And as mainieri said, if he held him and lost the game, then started him in 2 and got rained out after only 3=4 innings, we'd be screwed twice!

Good move that played out perfectly.

when the commentator said before hand that it sounded like the Tiger fans had their coffee, I think he was unaware that the jack and coke had replaced coffee about an hour earlier!

No way the Tigers could pull off this next one if I don't have a cocktail. So off to take one for the team. See you in 15

Peterson is the best CBB guy they have and has been for a while. I believe when he made the pick he even acknowledged his homerism.

I'm just glad they put him back in the booth for Omaha and not on the sidelines.

I like Peterson as well but if you always pick "your team" when they are asking for analysis then you lose credibility. (See Lou Holtz and his yearly South Carolina-Notre Dame Natl Championship prediction).

Game Thread #1 = 137 pgs (There is some controversy here. Hugo says 129, but I clicked on page 137 when I got the whacked thread page. Perhaps it was a glitch in the system due to the whacked thread.)

Game Thread #2 = 77 pgs

Game Thread #3 = 15 pgs

Total SR Game #1 pages = 229 pgs (or 221)

Regardless, gotta be a record, right?

I thought he wasn't being a homer, but didn't McDonald say he had LSU vs Florida for the Championship?

Make it this far and anything can happen.. Look at Fresno State a couple years ago..

Heck look at yesterdays game, Stony Brook gave LSU everything they had.
