I dont think people appreciated how good he was when he was here. that team had a lot of talent on it.

I often say those 2 starters somehow get overlooked. Jump and Holeman were great. If LSU held on against UNC they likely win that Super and do very well in Omaha. The team was really coming around and that 1-2 punch was great.

Dude is going to have a 100+mil contract

Up vote and watched the game. Dude hit 99 a couple of times. Glad to see him get his first W against my cubbies.

Jump gets forgotten because of that 9th inning in chapel hill on short rest. He was pitching well. They actually hit tough pitches off of him

Only 1 BB and 1 HBP. Great bounce back start from him.

yep, as good as he was, even the best pitchers dont have very good track records in the postseason of coming in to closeout a game when they have only been starters all year. I didnt like jay bringing him in to try to close out unc but hindsight is 2020

No. You don't throw a less dependable arm out there. If you lose, and you know you had Jump available with something in the tank then you have to wonder what if. You throw your best available and let the chips fall where they may.

You're such a whiny little girl. Get over it. Sign stealing is a part of baseball.

Completely agree. That team was built for the post season. Just took them a while to get going. If they made it past UNC that team was going to be great because of the 1-2 punch similar to Kade and Eyanson.
