You obviously haven't flown and tried to do work/physical activity after it. The team flew up there Thursday evening. Had a day to practice then had to wait until 9:30 to start a game.
The trip has an effect whether people want to believe it or not. If I recall correctly, The UA game in 2006 was not an opening game.
Much like VaTech in 2002 playing in an earlier game, UW got more legal practice time as compared to LSU since school doesn't start for another month there.
In the end, LSU will get better and be more rested. When is the last time you saw an LSU team that tired? I can think of 2 games. The game against ASU and UT.
Furthermore, don't underestimate the effect Locker has. He's likely the best QB in the Pac10 this year hands down, and having an OC (Sarkisian) with a brain this year is going to change things dramatically.

Someone on the score board tried to use the climate as an excuse. ZOMG It's 60 degrees with no rain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have flown to the pacific time zone twice and I could drink like a champ immediately stepping off the plane.

Just checked Weather.com...
Baton Rouge Humidity: 90%
Seattle Humidity: NINETY THREE %
No excuses... We sucked it up!

the humidity might be different, but the air in Seattle is no "thinner" (lower pO2) than BR
This reminds me that I also saw someone on the scoreboard claim that the high altitude was hurting the Tigers

this excuse of playing later than usual is really getting annoying. Being a recent graduate and ex-lsu athlete, I can assure you most of these boys are up way past the time the game ended. and be realistic...who gets sleepy eyed during a football game?? I expected more...hopefully next week will be better

someone remind me why this is a factor?
Time zones are set up to counteract this and to maintain daytime hours fairly normal no matter where on the equatorial globe you're located. That means that 10:30pm PDT feels like 12:30am CDT to the LSU players.
Does that help?

Did the Arizona game in 03 start at 9 30?
And this is one time zone more.

Uh, yeah. You eat at different times your body is accustomed to, play when it's normally midnight...

Um, kick off was at 7:30 west coast time, I don't know where you guys are getting 9:30 from.

@Horshack
yeah, no shite. these guys talk like sitting in a seat for four hours is nothing. Time Zones. fly to a different one, and see if it doesn't mess your schedule up; especially if your life is ruled by schedules.

730 local time....but it felt like 930 to players used to the central time zone.
