LSU is extending the contract of athletic director Joe Alleva by one year to July 2020.
The LSU Board of Supervisors will vote on the proposed extension at its next meeting next Friday, according to the group’s agenda. Alleva’s extension does not include a raise. He makes $725,000 with incentives that could push his salary to $900,000.
Ok tiger fans it is time to put or shut up about "your connections and inside sources" (I do not have any or I would be contacting them) and get the push to fire Alleva going. Anybody know how to access his contract to see what the buyout is? Even it is his entire salary I will gladly contribute to a gofundme to raise $725,000 to get rid of Alleva.

There was a post not too long ago from somebody that claimed to be connected, that implied that Richard Lipsey and a couple other people, had gotten the money together for Joe's buyout.

I would have thought that was good news. That means that the buyout is small.

Time to test those claims. I have no connections to anyone with influence at the moment (I have gone on several mission trips with one of the GOP governor candidates though and he is not a fan of Alleva btw) so there is a possibility that I have connections next year if Alleva is still here.

Alexander's contract is up in 2023 which is why I agree that we start with Alleva.

How in the world does a guy with the Duke lacrosse scandal immediately behind him get a 700k gig in the same field?

His current buyout is supposedly under $100K I think? It's something really meaningless to some of our donors. If LSU wants him out tomorrow they could do it.

LSU has always had incompetent leadership.

Scott Woodwards' buyout is only $48k right now and decreases to $32k in June this year
Scott Woodward contract
As I read it (20% of $80k is $16k):
June 2016 - June 2017 = $80k
June 2017 - June 2018 = $64k
June 2018 - June 2019 = $48k
June 2019 - June 2020 = $32k
June 2020 = June 2021 = $16k
This is chump change and a MASSIVE upgrade from Alleva
Scott Woodward contract
quote:
If Woodward is fired by the A&M without cause, he will be eligible to receive all of the base salary remaining on his deal. That number could change should he get another job. But if Woodward quits or leaves for another job, he will be on the hook for $80,000, an amount that will decrease by 20 percent on each anniversary date of the contract.

June 2016 - June 2017 = $80k

Will that be the same power demonstrate in the 5 person protest

I wouldn’t expect a firing or resignation for a few weeks because of the optics of it coinciding with the Wade reinstatement.
Then again, LSU has proven to be completely inept at PR, so who knows...
FWIW, if it were up to me he would have never been hired and would have been fired several times by this point in his tenure.

There's an article posted on this board somewhere that lays it all out. The gist is some favors were called in to get Alleva to LSU. I'll see if I can find it.

Shite that is cheap enough that we could raise that amount of money in a gofundme account. Unfortunately JBE is a fan of Alleva which means he will be staying until at least 07/01/2020.
ETA: That was not a political shot at JBE because there is a board for that, just saying that the one person that we need to be anti-Alleva is pro-Alleva.

It’s right under 1 Mill. It’s $750k per year and he had 13 months left. So it was around $950K or so
