Dude is just trying to be positive. They've had good teams come to the dome before and they've competed. West Virginia was very good in 2011. LSU is very good in 2015. LSU is better than that West Virginia team, but I don't think that was his point.
I don't think any of those fans are expecting a win. They know what's coming.

I said I think it's not out of the realm of possibility that they could compete with Auburn.
The same Auburn team that is headed for a 1-7 conference record and should have lost to Jacksonville State.

Most Cuse fans in that thread are aware of who LSU is this year and are acknowledging that it will be hard to even keep it respectable.

They have some size along the the O-line but we out weigh their D-line by 30 to 50lbs, their LB'ers are small to.

He said that he doesn't think that this LSU team is all that much better than that WVU team. So what does the fact that our 2011 team beat that WVU team have to do with it?

And I was at the game in 2011 in Morgantown. If Randle doesn't drop a sure touchdown, we win by 40. But if Claiborne doesn't return that kickoff, that game could also have been kind of tight. Maybe a 10 point game.

What I find suspect is that you are projecting that you have knowledge about Syracuse's team, but I'm almost certain you have not seen them play a single snap this year. I'm trying to figure out what you liked about what you saw or whether you were lying when you said you saw a game in which they played.
