You are actually begging the question and passing it off as logic.

In your opinion Saban is the best -> you assume that nobody else is as good and then you show this as proof that Saban is the best and when asked why not choose someone else - you again offer your opinion and say that the thread points are valid?

Cal, I actually have more insight than watching game play, but I will cite the source everyone is privy to. Now, my logic is based on results......if it walks like a duck......

Yes, I could contend replace Saban with Urban, Gary Patterson, Brian Kelly, etc. BUT, I've watched the play of all of those teams and they do NOT show the razor sharpness in execution Nick's teams do. I like the shite out of Les and respect Saban for his craft though he is rough around the edges. More to the point, I'd probably rather Les coach my boys than Nick.

Besides, the validity to which I infer was along the lines of framing up my points (execution/SEC West contender coincidence), not where my opinion is fact/valid. It is my opinion and I stated that.........I do fancy my intuition greater than the average bear however.

You're one of the more logical guys around here and I always welcome genuine debate.

If you're not in practice there is no way that you can know this. I'm a coach and I get suggestions from dads all the time and 99% percent of the suggestions I already work with my kids. The other 1% are dumb and would take wayyy to much time.

While I accept that Saban is a very good coach I find it quite difficult to agree that he is at a level that is higher than almost all the other top coaches of today.

Let me ask you this -
Did you notice the same or similar execution
- at LSU while saban was here?
- at Bama last year?
- at LSU 2005-2007?

If you feel that any team under Miles has shown that - then what do you think has made the difference between that team and this?
