Fun fact: LSU’s last 2:30 kickoff win vs Bama in Tiger Stadium

The last time LSU beat Alabama in Tiger Stadium in a 2:30 p.m. daytime kickoff was November 6, 2010, when the Tigers defeated the Crimson Tide 24-21.
During the fourth quarter of that November 6, 2010 matchup against Alabama, CBS television cameras caught LSU head coach Les Miles reaching down, plucking a blade of grass from the Tiger Stadium turf, and eating it.
The eccentric moment happened right before a crucial sequence where LSU executed a 4th-and-1 trick play end-around to tight end DeAngelo Peterson, followed by a successful two-point conversion to take the lead. When asked about his mid-game snack afterward, Miles famously told reporters that it was a personal tradition that "humbles me as a man" and confidently concluded that "The grass in Tiger Stadium tastes best."

DeAngelo Peterson… HERE COMES THE LEFT SIDE

How Deangelo Peterson just decide to ballerina twirl out of bounds at the two yard line rather than run the bama defender over I will never understand. It’s not like he got the ball that much anyway. Still an awesome play but it could have been even more memorable.

A great play off of the toss dive that we ran 20 times a game. I was always waiting for Miles to pull that play out again later in his career but it was never run again
