He doesn't work here anymore dumb arse.
Actually, he is still there and his last day as President was December 31, 2019.
Tom Galligan is acting President, so he can join in F(uck)King on the dunce stool.

A school who takes off for Mardi Gras, Spring Break, and Easter doesn’t have a whole lot of chances to squeeze classes in before intercession.
@ baws who don’t know how school and calendars work.

Unless you have an exam that your professor refuses to move then you should be good. Talk to them in advance to advise against pop quizzes as well.

This is not about me. My son. I've told him to contact his professors to see what they would do (since he's in a curriculum where they may exercise the first day skip/drop).

you are a full fledged douche bag. one day does not make or break a semester.
Having said that, just skip. do not bitch about it, just be hungover in the comfort of your own bed. That is what i did as a student.

Not even a sliver of a chance my arse would be there the 13th or 14th

This shouldn’t be a problem for the majority of students that don’t have night classes. They don’t need to be in New Orleans all damn day. Go to class then go to the game. It’s not that hard.
Those that have night classes have a decision to make but they are adults and will deal with the consequences.

The horror! A university is holding classes during normal instructional hours? We must alert the church elders!!!

quote:Semester starts on 1/13, and classes end on 5/1. That’s 16 weeks. Spring break, Mardi Gras, and Easter (Good Friday) account for 8.5 days. When you pay for a class, you’re paying for 15 weeks. LSU is already sort of pushing it; they don’t have room to cancel classes for a football game in the spring semester.

I haven't been a student since 07, but most students can't afford to go to this game anyway. Going to class Monday isn't a big deal. Tuesday on the other hand...

Easter always coincides with Spring Break at LSU so no extra time is taken off for Good Friday.
