I guess Lester told Jay not bunt him in.

What do i know but I'm not leaving that runner on 3rd. I'm going down squeezing Curiel in. Dont care who is batting. If Frey couldn't do it, put someone who would. Smh

Twice. 1st and 3rd inning - same batters.

i upvoted cause you replied but 1 good inning of hitting in the last 45 SEC innings doesn't support your story. We still left a runner on 3rd base(twice) with less than 2 outs and Jay didn't get either in. I know Jay isnt out there hitting the ball but sometimes he needs to take over and make these scenerios end succesfully by showing some sack and making the darn call. When your struggling at the plate with the whole line up, dont you understand the importance of even 1 run? I get your side of it but getting a run in when it's really needed and you don't bites hard. Bunting for a run should be a no Brainer and done in practice as much as regular hitting is so you can execute it in the important times. Go TIGERS.

Same as last year. Pop flys all the time until you need one and strike out.
They are just trying too hard. Just go play and let it happen

we are only as good as our slump, hitting wise is. We all know we are btter than we have shown. The Record doesn't mean anything. It's important we start getting more hitting with risp at the right time. We have endured the slump and may still be in it, hopefully we jell at the right time and finish strong and do well in the sec tourney.

I wish these would go away.

And you know driving a runner in from 3rd with less than 2 outs doesn't have a 100% hit rate, right? Sometimes the batter will fail.

True. I upvoted. I guess, maybe I'm saying the coach should have scratched those runs with small ball especially in the drought we were in with risp. He is hesitant to call it because the Hitter is 6'4 220.

on smh.

Bunting does not guarantee anything even when executed properly.

Down 5-4 with a runner on 3rd and 0 out.... in the 7th

I may not say we have to bunt, but we damn friggin sure need to poke the bat on the ball and ground out to 2B...

It's infuriating to see how un-basebally we play the game of baseball.

Glad Milam homered though!
Glad we won though!

Crazy how many times LSU hits fly balls for outs.... except when they can use a sac fly.

How often do you think a runner on 3rd scores with 1 out?

It shouldn’t be that hard to intentionally hit a sac fly. Choke up and just serve it into the OF, don’t swing for the fences.
