BC a much worse team with no rehab center flies back from Tallahassee on Monday

That's a poor excuse to use BC. Look who they played

More excuses than defensive stops

Nichols scored 3 times. One was a trick play, one was a good drive, and one was a single busted run fit by 8.

Outside of that one carry, Nichols averaged around 2 ypc. The sky is falling attitude around here is insane.

Nichols was essentially running the triple option with a former Curtis quarterback with some screen passes baked in. LSU was rotating 3 guys in every play.

LSU's best defensive playmakers (Perkins, Weeks, Jones,) were rendered useless for the most part because of the offense. You're going to get lineman to the second level in these kinds of games. It's nearly impossible for Harold Perkins to do anything in a game like this against an offense that has 7 blockers on every play. It's like some of you have never watched football before.

Nichols first TD drive they had 9 carries for 38 yards and threw a slant and two screen passes for the rest of their yards. Good for them.

Nichols next TD drive they had had 9 carries for 26 yards. The remainder of their yards came on screen passes and a trick play.

There was then the busted run fit.

That was it. Nichols did not dominate LSU on the ground like some LSU fans so badly wish to be the case. LSU was rotating personnel on pretty much every play. Nichols had at least 2 extra blockers in on 95% of their plays and had 3 extra blockers in on a handful of others. When LSU was even or even -1 in the box, Nichols did nothing. If Alabama or Ole Miss or OU want to run the triple option against LSU running a 3-3-5 (they won't) then sure they'll run the ball well against us. No one else on our schedule will do this.

USC is about as close as it gets and even they don't run close to the same scheme. They also have Robby Ashford and Rocket Sanders carrying the ball who LSU has shut down every time they've played. Sellers doesn't scare me at all.

I hated the game because it didn't let LSU run the defense they're going to be running in the remainder of their games. Shouldn't play small schools who run gimmick offenses. I'd rather play McNese.
