My friend and a fellow TD poster I won’t name was saying that game was so boring…

So.e people just aren't baseball fans and that's ok.

Almost 50 years and against 2 very prolific offensive teams no less

In a season where the storyline has been about the tightening of the baseballs and the uptick in offense.

Not really. They were relatively even. Neither starter allowed a run. Skenes gave LSU an extra inning but Lowder only threw 88 pitches. Wake just doesn’t push its guys as far because of its normally stout bullpen.

The difference was LSU’s bullpen was slightly better than Wake’s.

The difference in this game was an incredible play by Mirgan and 1 pitch and swing of the bat.

Yeah. Without Morgan’s play, it’s quite possible LSU loses 1-0 with Skenes taking the loss. To say he was “simply better” last night is wrong.

What a stat. Both excellent but Paul was simply better.

If you are objective, this isn’t true. Lowder threw significantly fewer pitches and was still cruising when he was pulled. As good as Skenes was, Lowder was at least as good.

It really was fun watching both these teams get after it. The pitching was incredible with two different styles, but same outcomes. The fielding was just as good. I haven't enjoyed a baseball game like that in years.

I started to pucker in the 3rd because I knew that Lowder was dialed in and thought that if we couldn’t get a run on the board while Skenes was on the mound then we had no shot for a win in regulation or in extras with our taxed bullpen vs. whatever they brought out.
