Hi guys.

I am flying out from Sacramento to New Orleans tomorrow afternoon--coming to my first game in TS since 2006 (Fresno), when it didn't actually rain in Tiger Stadium.

Bringing my mother and my girlfriend.

The mom grew up attending Tiger games in the 40s and 50s and has got the stories to tell.

The girlfriend is attending her first game.

So:...anyone let us join their tailgate?

I promise the ladies have manners...and I'm learning.;-)

Cheers! and

Hey bud, anywhere in Sactown to watch LSU? The comcast office in Sac didn't even KNOW what Espn GamePlan was, and "had heard" of ESPNU.

Wow on Comcast. Polly think the SEC is just the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Join us halfway in Vacaville sometime?

Mom's got the killer plate of red beans and rice!

Not sure if there are other Tigers in Sac, actually.

Alumni association lists a contact for a "chapter" for Sacramento, but I used to run the SF chapter and there didn't seem to be an active chapter in Sac.

Hey there - I am in Sac and have run into a fan or two over the years. There was/is a local alumni assoc. but it was not active last time I checked. I called the president and he tried to talk me into being the president. pretty funny.

As far as places to watch games, I'd be up for trying to find something locally.

Have fun tailgating in BR.

Hi all,

I am "the girlfriend who will be attending her first game". I live in Los Angeles and root for LSU, NOT USC. So...I want the real Tiger tailgatin' experience!

Caligeaux, thanks for your reply and invite. Happy Birthday!

Hope to see y'all on Saturday!

Geaux Tigers!

i 'd

the local's in Sactown used to say it was spanish for 'cow town'.

i was a San Fran member and there was a contact in Sac at that time, forgot his name, but it was some older sounding dude who didn't seem too interested in getting anything going. So they had this new sports bar open up, and the week we played Miss St in Starksville early Saturday monring, kinda like now, was being shown on one of ESPN's gameplan channels. I happened to stop in and asked the bar guy if we brought enough people would he dedicate at least one tv for us. He said college games are no problem for that, it was the pro games on sunday that would be a hassle. anyway, i had someone from the San Fran chapter send the name and address of the place out in an email and about 7 people showed up. Not sure the point of all this because I forgot the name of the sport bar, but if I'm not mistaken, it was just off of blue oaks blvd (maybe pleasnt grove) heading towards rocklin from roseville. nice place, plenty of large screen tv's, for those of you still out in that area.

Maybe you can get your boyfriend to spring for tickets to next years showdown with D1aa powerhouse McNeese State, followed by equally tough D1aa Northwestern St the following year.

j/k

Enjoy the experience.

It's embarrassing, I know. But when you don't play the majority of your games in the Pac-10, you have to go looking pretty hard to schedule games against cupcakes of comparable quality.

Kind of embarrassing that a cupcake Pac team can hang 478 yds on your allegedly stout SEC D, no?
