From another thread. I hope LSU uses a recording from Borne with his iconic lines.

Like the Yankees did for their announcer. Particularly when Jeter came to bat. I mean I don't see why the hell they wouldn't. Borne should live forever over the pa system. Particularly of course when the sun will soon find it's home in the western sky, and when the chance of rain is never!

There is no reason they couldn't play his iconic lines for every home game.
Forever.

Forever.

If I don’t hear that this weekend around 7:05PM I will throw my wristband on the field

Well, start warming up your arm. There seems to be a Mandela effect making people think he said that at every home game. He didn't. Generally, the only time he would say that line was when afternoon starts (2:30) would bleed into sunset. 6:00, 6:30, 7:00 starts, even in September when the sun was still out at kickoff, are considered "night games"
As for the "chance of rain..." line, it would be a little difficult to reproduce that one organically because he would always say it at the end of announcing the current weather conditions. It would be a bit of an awkward transition to have MacMakin announce the current weather then flip to Borne's voice.

Recording #1 should be “Ladies and gentlemen, it’s Saturday Night in Death Valley!”
Followed by “the sun will soon find its home in the western sky…”

Tennessee still uses a recording from previous announcer to say catch phrases, at least they did a few years ago.

I have had the hairs on the back of neck stand up when he announced this. You could just feel the stadium change.
