The crowd willed the team to victory that day. All the talk of renovation had me nostalgic. Some of the magic disappeared and hasn't returned since.

Definitely one of my favorite moments in LSU baseball history. We were outplayed for 17 straight innings and then Alex Box magic happened and we owned them for the last 10 innings. Even though we went 1-2 in Omaha, that was one of my favorite years of LSU baseball. That team never gave up

Wasn’t the one Omaha win that year a pretty epic one too?

Probably my favorite series of lsu baseball. Place was electric the end of game 2. And the game 3 blowout was fitting. So much fun.

IMO, Shemps at bat was "the moment".

Yeah, I know he was just the second hitter that inning, but when he took an 0-2 count and worked a double, I know that was it.

I was sitting by the UCI fans and I turned around to one of them and said "well, maybe tomorrow".

The response: "You haven't scored yet, and we still haven't used our top relievers".

EZE TF: "No, it's over. You just don't get it and I can't even try to explain it. You were saved yesterday on a BS call. Your luck runs out today. Just hope for the best tomorrow."

Every time LSU put another runner on, I would turn around and look at them, and just shake my head up and down slowly, with a menacing look.

May be the greatest moment at the old box. Great comeback followed by sending the old box out in style with 7 home runs and 20 runs

That's absolutely false. The SECN broadcast makes for less fans overall, but our fans show up when it's on the line. The South Carolina series win a few years ago was nuts.

That line up put 6, 7, & 9 in the Big Leagues. Crazy Good!

That ninth inning was the most amazing performance by any Tiger baseball team. I mean, can you imagine Schimpf down 0-2 and then connecting for a double? Mitchell down 0-2 and eventually drawing a walk?

The game had all the appearances of a true road game for 8 innings, but in the 9th the crowd...came alive...BIGLY!
