Did you really need that explained?
I said 240 wasn't a good sign. I didn't say it was the end of the world. It's not a good sign. I'm not the only one who has that opinion (see Booger McFarland).
In your opinion, do you think he wanted to show up at 240?

Henry ran 4.54 at 247lbs. Fournette, and ranters, better hope he beats that.
If the ankle is healthy, I think he will do that even at 240.

Oh looks it that woman that gets her arse handed to her in every conversation. Im sorry your opinion on sports is the same as a 13 year old girl. For the record, i never said my opinion matters. Thats why i usually post facts.

Clearly.

's a crazy opinion.
Booger McFarland agrees with me though...
10-15 lbs too heavy
Deuce McAllister agrees with me too...
Again their opinions dont outweigh the fact that LF is the highest rated rb while playing at 235. If LF was the fastest player on the field at 235, no one cares what booger thinks is too heavy. Thats what makes LF special. The ability to be 235 and still have track speed.

They have reasonable opinions. I've posted my own opinion, Miles' opinion, Booger McFarland's opinion, Deuce McAllister's opinion. You don't have to agree. But it makes you an idiot to think those opinions are unreasonable.
Personally, I've been concerned about that ankle. The rumors of him needing surgery stuck with me. I wanted to see him show up in great shape so that could be put to rest. Instead he raised some eyebrows with his weight.
Here is another opinion (NFL.com)
quote:
"I think it has to be a little bit of a concern," said NFL.com analyst Lance Zierlein. "He's a big man, but the bigger he gets, the less quickness he is likely to have and quickness matters in the NFL. There have been plenty of running backs who have come into the league and decided to slim down once they experience the speed of NFL defenses. My guess is that he will be told he is too heavy by some NFL teams and he will come in lighter at his pro day."
Now, if he runs a 4.35 at 240, that 240 will look like an advantage.
But, if he runs a 4.5, everyone that has seen him play is going to say the same thing...that if he shed about 10 lbs he'd be more explosive.
I think he'll run upper 4.4s and that will be a little bit underwhelming FOR HIM. Obviously, it's still superhuman for most. And, he'll still be a top 10ish pick.

So now he needs to run a 4.35 for 240 to be an advantage?

Regardless of you and 2 other people's opinions, lf was the fastest player on the field at 235. Being 240 is in no way a bad sign.

anyone that thinks 240 is his ideal weight is an idiot. Go figure RickDaddy is that guy.
He is a Mack truck whether he is 225, 230, 235. Ideally he should be around 230
240 is teetering bad weight territory. Good to hear it is just water weight. There is a reason there are only 2-3 decent RBs that play at that weight.

Show me where i said it was his ideal weight?
I said its not some huge problem.
But hey youre the guy that said Guice was average at best. Your opinions on rbs or sports in general is on par with a garden hose's opinion on sports.

In a typical offseason you would be totally right. The problem is that this isn't a typical offseason. This is the combine where you are supposed to show up in BETTER shape than in the regular season. The issue people have with LF at 240 is that it shows lack of commitment. Yes, he can easily lose 10 pounds to get to his gameday weight but being slightly out of shape could also cost him $1-2 million which will make some teams wonder about his work ethic. That's just how the league works.

I doubt LF just stopped working out. He has a strong character. How about we see his 40 time before you go shitting on his character.

I think he may be reading the press clippings too much. It has been a good length of time since he has been in competitive game condition.
