Yeah, he contradicted himself a good bit.

"Talent has never been the problem at Notre Dame."
"Kelly didn't recruit."

Their fans will be over it in a couple years. They’ll move on. Meanwhile, 15 years later, we still haven’t gotten over Saban, but we’re somehow better than ND fans, and they have no right to hold a grudge?

Not even remotely the same scenario

Rips Brian Kelly for two minutes

Then says they are a top 5 team because of talent and only 4-5 teams have been as consistent as Notre Dame.

Which one is it?

Uh, well, LSU beat #2 UGA in 2018 & #4 UGA in 2019. LSU beat Bama in 2019 in Tuscaloosa. He must have forgotten those 3 Games. Once again, BK left ND to try winning not just participating.

Lol you're ignorant at this point.

Kelly cost Notre Dame no less than 4 5 stars...not to decommitmment but because he wouldn't play young guys.

Kelly threw his center under the bus when HIS game plan was to throw 50 times in a Hurricaine vs ncsu

He never adjusts his gameplay at halftime. Ever.

He brings in yes man assistants that he throws under the bus when Kelly fricks up

It's not sour grapes. ND had been trying to part with Kelly for 5 years. Kelly couldn't find a better job and Notre Dame couldn't find a good replacement. It's been known.

Oh here's some more...
he plays the safe QB over the talented ones... Book should have never even started at ND.

He wants to put talent people but he doesn't recruit. He takes every spring off. Just wait.

That's how you melt!

Hmm, let's see if if this makes sense: ND wants to fire Kelly in 2017 after going 10-3 and ranked No. 11, then tries again in 2018 after 12-1 and making the playoffs, keeps trying in 2019 after 11-2 and ranked No. 5, and after finishing No 5 again in 2020, another 11-2 finish in 2021...All because ND couldn't find a super special replacement.

BUT THEN, after leading leading ND back to the playoffs, ND finally runs Kelly off and finds his super special replacement - the DC on staff with no head coaching experience.

Sounds legit. No sour grapes here.

Given the state of the program after O, this isn’t far off, but “dumpster fire” is a bit much.

Said ND fit BK’s recruiting base … dude had to fly everywhere to recruit kids. He can walk to U-High from football ops if he wanted to. Drive over to Catholic or down to NOLA. Recruiting base is much easier now.

BK took ND as far as he could

Most correct thing the big guy said … he’s just pissed getting smoked in the CFP by superior talent is as far as ND can go. Oh, well. Sour Grapes [ON] OFF

I disagree, because while LSU fans hated Nick for leaving and cursed his name, no rational LSU fan ever discounted his ability. We knew he was a great coach, which is why we were pissed he left and then subsequently joined a rival in the same division.

That’s the difference between LSU fans and ND fans. They’re so full of themselves that they immediately discredit the coach that turned them around and call him a shite coach/recruiter etc. because after all how could a good coach ever leave Notre Dame for LSU?! They’re salty and embarrassed.

It’s not exactly the same…Nick won a NC here then left for the NFL and LSU fans can’t stand him because he came back to Bama, but ND fans are taking it to another extreme because their image has been tarnished…

No, its LSU fans that take it to the next level.

ND fans are pissed because their HC left directly for another college HC job. That's easy to understand.

LSU fans, on the other hand, are pissed at Saban even though he didn't leave for another college HC job, AND even though LSU's HC job wasn't even available when he came back to the college game. Talk about mouth-breathing juveniles.

Notre Dame is mad that their all time winningest coach left them for another program. I would be too.

I bet he can point to plenty of evidence he was "ready for CBK to be done at Notre Dame in 2020".

He is full on butt hurt...

I mean it’s possible that he could. Alabama fans call for Saban’s head on the SEC rant every time they play poorly. So it’s definitely possible that he didn’t like Kelly, but that would just mean he is dumb instead of mad.

What a dumbass. Rips Brian Kelly for not winning the big one at ND. Calls LSU a dumpster fire which ND was before kelly got there. He then talks about ND being ranked 5th and brings up ND is 54-10 in last 5 years. Well who do you think got them there? Must be the guy they hired out of desperation that did that. Then talks about no team was able to beat clemson, OH St, bama in the last few years. Why the Hell do you think Kelly left ND? to get the players that can compete against these types of teams he was not getting that at ND. The look on his face when the guy said LSU has Won a NC with lesser coaches Miles and O and that Kelly would win one at LSU.
Freeman is basically Coach O now only as good as his assistants will be. All that pressure to win at ND and they hired a Coach with barely any experience.
