You don't know what a top flight coordinator looks like.

Sweet comeback, bro.
You are aware O hired him on that basis, right?

Are you saying Ensminger is not a top flight coordinator?
Orgeron's mistake was allowing the irrelevant yank his chain when he 1st took over. This is what led to the hasty hire of unvetted Canada. You twits were screaming Canada was the BIGGEST dick in offensive football. Canada was inovative, unpredictable etc... exactly what TIGERS fans have been screaming for. It was a hasty, but solid move by Orgeron given the time frame, and environment. When discovering Canada was a snot licker, O did what he had to do for the program immediately.

Pretty easy claim to make when you go 20 years between stints as an OC, with 3 stops in between coaching high school football.
So we have a HC who in his 34 years of coaching has been a HC a total of 4 years, not counting interim ( i know yall only like to count it when it helps your argument) and the rest of his career he has never risen above being defensive line coach.
And a OC who hasnt risen above being a TE/QB coach in the 20 years since his last OC gig.
All i can say is thank God for Dave Aranda.

Well you're half right. Given a choice I'd much prefer Canada to O.

O didn't railroad Canada from the very get go? He even said that from day one, even as he hired Canada that he knew ensminger was the guy during SEC media days.
Not every day that you "let go " of a coordinator while making him sign an agreement not to speak to the media to get his money.
Even other coaches familiar with what happened spoke anonymously on it.

oooooooooooh watch out stevie E's housecleaner or poolboy will attack u soon! get ready!
O rolled the dice with basically a 3rd system in 3 years. cams, matts and now steves.
i am sure he will have some good concepts. players learning the new system and terminology ALONG with execution is the big ???????
burrow would have been perfect in matts type of offense, 3 options on basically every play and srtecth horizontally then gouge vertically like CUM and the GUS BUS do. basically use whole field running to open up pass.
that O has been the best O at beating bama the last 8 years.
however, the spread pass throw it all over to open up runs FROM THE GUN and RPO's SHOULD and CAN work as well. depends if they can learn scheme and execute and in game play calling and prep. with burrow and all these tall receivers we should kill teams on fades and seam routes all day long.
we could do very well or crash and burn. we shall see. many factors involved.

We ain't talking bath house buddies. (Responding to multiple people here. Bear with me please)
If you are certain SE is not a top flight offensive coaching talent, then why is all of this amazing offensive talent eyeing, and coming to LSU? Top flight qbs incessantly gave Les Miles double birds, but O, and E are immediately flipping that script. And THEN there is the development of Danny Etling.
Just be man enough to come back, and eat your crow when this offense is one of the best we have seen in a long time at LSU.
HOLD THAT TIGER!!!

I hope is blessed with subordinate coaches that behave the way he does as a subordinate.

This is just a preseason shift by Maryland, you won't know who the head coach is until the first snap of the first game unless you are Alabama

How is his offense gimmicky, Derek?
Good god, this joke is all-the-way fricked out.
And “gimmicky” isn’t always a pejorative, but the fly sweep being the base of an offense is most definitely gimmicky.
